Vegans/vegetarians beware. They say the word ”vegan” on the menu but it is not vegan. We tried to order two vegan pad thai’s only for them to insist they couldn’t make it without fish sauce. We asked what we can have instead then and she kept pointing at things that were not vegan. I translated a phrase asking for no meat, no egg, no milk and no fish sauce but we had to repeat it several times for them to understand. Usually in Thailand we have just uttered the word ”mungsawerat” and they have instantly understood.
After several tries they pointed at two dishes they said we could have (that were more expensive at 130 baht each too) - the deep-fried vegetable protein with rice and the mushroom pasta with shoyu. When the food came my pasta was covered in butter.
They apologised deeply and remade it for me (I had to translate and explain that butter IS milk for them to understand though).
Finally got my dish but portions are quite small and the food is just ok too, so not worth coming even though the restaurant looks cute with outdoor seating amongst lots of plants, especially if you are vegan. I can’t speak for their other...

The drink I received was about 90% ice cubes with a sphere of flavoured ice on the side and a spoon, despite the ice being impossible to eat with a spoon. I don't understand why it is so difficult and awkward to avoid disposable plastic in restaurants like this in Thailand.
