Seaview Sunset Rooftop — Restaurant in Wichit

AMAZING!!! my 2 school girlfriends and myself met up in Phuket for a 7 day reunion. Staying at the ' Graceland Hotel' which was kind of attached to this cafe and spending our last night at the Seaview Sunset Rooftop, was the best decision we would have made. We did not have a reservation and when we arrived we were greeted by 2 employees who informed us that the place had been closed for a private function......needless to say, we were very dissapointed.....UNTIL one of them mentioned that the ROOFTOP on the 3rd floor was open and we could go there. Which without further ado, we did!! Best thing that could have happened! We were the only guests up here, had the best view AND the even better service!!! We ordered some yummy drinks (Gin and Tonic) which were generously made ;) , sat down on to enjoy our last evening there. We were then approached from the following employees: Palm, Smile and Gun. As we wanted to order some food, they came to advise us and to have a chat. All 3 plus 1 more, were unbelievabley friendly and very funny but still very professional!! Lovely lovely people. They advised us about the menu and took really good care of us. While one of them organised the food and more drinks :) the other 2 stayed and we had a good chat and fun with them. When our food came, we were left alone and enjoyed the yummy dishes very much (chicken satay in peanut sauce, springs rolls and pad thai). Afterwards we had another chat and fun with them all which was so nice as they are all so super friendly, (still professional thought) and funny. To all of you: THANK YOU for making our last night in Phuket so wonderful! Keep up the good work, you are amazing, what an assett to the SEAVIEW SUNSET ROOFTOP!! A True Customer's Perspective: 5 Stars, Not 1!

I feel compelled to write this review after seeing a recent one-star rating that I believe grossly misrepresents this excellent restaurant. As a fellow diner present on the same night, I was shocked to see such an unfair assessment.

Here's what I actually witnessed:

The group who left the one-star review was dancing and clearly enjoying the DJ's music all night. They were smiling, laughing, and appeared to be having a fantastic time. There were no visible signs of dissatisfaction or complaints during their visit.

It's baffling and disappointing to see them leave such a negative review after their departure. It feels like an act of unwarranted malice that doesn't reflect the reality of their experience or the quality of this establishment.

From my perspective, this restaurant deserves a full five stars. Here's why:

The atmosphere is lively and fun, perfect for a night out. The staff is attentive and professional. The food and drinks are excellent. The DJ creates a great ambiance.

I've visited multiple times, and the experience has always been consistently outstanding. It's disheartening to see a potentially misleading review that could unfairly impact this wonderful restaurant.

To future diners: I encourage you to visit and judge for yourselves. Don't let one inexplicably negative review deter you from what is truly a five-star experience. This place is perfect in every way, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a...

Let's start with the positives: The location is beautiful. Perched on a hill with an incredible view of the islands and the sunset. The beer is cold.

Apart from that I was left thoroughly unimpressed. There was a DJ blaring music so loudly that the wait staff couldn't hear what was being ordered. When the cocktail I ordered hadn't arrived ten minutes after the rest of my party's drinks, I cancelled and asked for a beer instead. After ten minutes this hadn't arrived and another member of my group had to ask. They did offer the beer on the house which was appreciated.

A young couple came in to eat and left within five minutes. Staff seemed preoccupied with the only other group in the place, who appeared to be friends of the owners (perhaps the people responsible for the questionable five star reviews?)

The menu item I ordered was not available, so I agreed to the same sauce with a different pasta - no problem. They brought out a completely different meal and then got frustrated with me when I said that's not what I ordered.

When my meal did come out, it only had two prawns and tasted like canned spaghetti with packet macaroni sauce. Staff did not check in on anyone in the group during the meal.

Not great.

Slightly lowered music and more attentiveness from the wait staff would make for a great place to...
