First, I have to mention the amazing Kids Club team — Leena, Pepsy, and Vee. They made such a positive impact on our trip by creating fun, exciting activities every day. They were always full of energy and made the kids feel safe, entertained, and happy, which made a big difference for the whole family.
Vin, one of the waiters, deserves a special mention too. He was so friendly and always greeted us with a big smile. It was lovely to chat with him and hear about his passion for reading — it’s rare to meet someone so genuine and kind while traveling.
Daniel, the hotel manager, is by far the best hotel manager I have ever met. He doesn’t just manage from the office — he comes out, talks to the guests, remembers your name, asks how your stay is going, and makes you feel like a true VIP. His personal attention to each guest truly sets Pullman Panwa apart from other hotels.
Pia, the food and beverage manager, was also fantastic. Her attention to detail when it came to the breakfast spreads and the special festival buffets was outstanding. Every meal was delicious and carefully planned, with so many amazing options to choose from. You can really feel her passion for great food and guest experience.
Aey at breakfast made our mornings so easy and relaxing. Every day she would go out of her way to find us a table inside, which we really appreciated. She was always smiling, polite, and genuinely kind to our whole family, making breakfast one of the best parts of the day.
Annie was also helping out at breakfast and she was amazing too — always ready to assist, making sure everything ran smoothly, and being super friendly and attentive.
A very special thanks to Fah as well. One day I hurt myself by the pool, and she immediately helped with first aid. Thanks to her quick and careful treatment, my injury healed nicely. She didn’t just take care of the injury — she also took the time to cheer up my little brother by playing with him when he had no one else around. She has such a warm and caring heart.
The activities at the Lifestyle Club were another highlight of our stay. Even though we didn’t catch the name of one of the team members, he was so nice and organized many fun games, including traditional Thai games that made us feel even more connected to the culture.
Annine was also lovely, helping out during breakfast and activities, always with a warm and welcoming attitude.
MJ, who ran yoga and aqua classes, was fantastic. Every session was not only relaxing but also really fun. Along with Harif, they made the aqua classes something special by adding games like the whirlpool, where we would float and relax while the water spun us around. It was such a fun way to enjoy the pool in a unique way!
Harif also helped us rent out kayaks, and he made that experience so easy and enjoyable. Kayaking every day became a highlight of our trip because of his help and friendly attitude.
Now, about the rooms: Our room was absolutely perfect — spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The beds were cozy, the bathroom was spotless and luxurious, and we had everything we could possibly need. The housekeeping team kept everything fresh and tidy every day, always making sure we returned to a spotless, relaxing space. Waking up every morning to beautiful views of the sea and garden was like living in a dream. The attention to detail in the room setup truly made it feel like a home away from home.
Every part of our stay — from the amazing staff, to the beautiful facilities, to the comfortable rooms — was flawless. You can have a beautiful hotel, but it’s the people who make it feel like home — and Pullman Panwa Phuket has some of the best people you will ever meet.
We cannot wait to come back. Thank you to the entire team for giving us such a perfect holiday. We miss you...
Read moreMinibar and Beverage Selection: While my room was equipped with a minibar, I noticed that it did not contain any beverages, except water. This struck me as unusual, as minibars typically come stocked with a selection of drinks. It would be more convenient for guests if the minibar could be stocked upon arrival, with charges deducted from the deposit, rather than having to order a separate beverage package.
Pool Area and Service: Upon visiting the pool area, I noticed that there was no pool bar at the larger pool, despite it being the main area where guests congregated. This resulted in guests having to travel longer distances to obtain beverages. Additionally, the service at the main swimming pool was lacking. I expected to be greeted upon arrival at my pool chair and offered drinks, but unfortunately, I was not approached while sitting already 1 hour, giving the impression of inattentive service.
Air Conditioning in Rooms: The air conditioning units in the rooms were uncomfortably strong. In my initial room, the air conditioning was directed straight onto the bed, resulting in a temperature that was too cold, despite being set to 23 degrees with the lowest fan setting. After lodging a complaint, I was moved to another room where the air conditioning was not directly aimed at the bed. However, I still found it too strong and uncomfortable. It appears that a more nuanced adjustment of the air conditioning units is necessary to provide guests with maximum comfort.
Room Amenities and Maintenance: In my first room, I noticed that the bathroom blind was not working. Upon reporting this to reception, I was informed that the issue was already known. It was disappointing to learn that rooms were being rented out despite not all facilities functioning properly.
Room Cleaning: Room cleaning also proved to be problematic. Despite informing the housekeeper at around 12:00 PM that I would require service in an hour, the room was still not cleaned upon my return at 3:30 PM.
Tour Program and Activities: A leaflet was provided listing some of the hotel's activities, but a comprehensive tour program was not offered. Activities such as island hopping, day tours, or water rafting. As a guest at a 5-star hotel, I expected to have a wide range of activities to choose from to optimize my stay.
Bath flippers:* Another point I noticed was the size of the bath flippers in the room, maximum 42. They were not up to standard in Europe Especially men with larger shoe sizes (45 or 46) might have difficulties finding suitable flippers. A larger selection of sizes would therefore be desirable.
It is not pleasant to walk without flippers around the pool when the floor temperature is 60 degrees Celsius.
Cause of a injured foot i had to extend my stay another day. I made a booking via agoda a day before. Nobody checked the reservations. I told them then, they needed 20 minutes to find it.
I was resting then at the pool nearby my room. When i came back my room my keycard wasnt working anymore, but i had told them already 2 hour ago i had a new booking. So they should have brought a new key card.
Result: I had to walk to the gym with my injured foot, tried to call receiption with press 0. Nobody answering. Then i had to walk even more to the receiption and claim card not working.
In summary: No recommendation. No good service...
Read morePullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort The experience at Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort, during a trip to Phuket that wasn’t primarily for sightseeing but to "make amends" for winning the lottery at Wat Chalong! Here’s a breakdown of the stay:
Booking and Arrival:
The reviewer booked the Deluxe Room for 7,499.43 THB per night during the high season, but the hotel upgraded the room to a Garden Pool Villa. Before the stay, an email was sent to confirm the booking, but it was a standard, impersonal response without addressing specific requests made by the reviewer, like an early check-in or late check-out. The hotel didn't confirm whether the requests could be fulfilled, leaving the guest uncertain. When arriving at 2:09 PM, the staff seemed confused and unaware of the guest’s member status or special requests. Despite a 15:00 check-in time, the room wasn’t ready, and the guest was left waiting for over an hour without much information. The room wasn't ready at 3 PM, and it wasn’t until 3:35 PM that the guest was informed of a room change due to air conditioning issues in the originally assigned room. Room and Facilities:
The upgraded Garden Pool Villa was spacious and well-maintained with modern amenities, and it had a bright, airy feel with plenty of natural light. The villa was clean, and housekeeping was thorough. The hotel's beach, however, wasn’t suitable for swimming, as the sand resembled mud. The activities like kayaking and paddleboarding, which the guest was eager to try, were unavailable due to late check-in. Multiple swimming pools were available, but the hotel was crowded due to the unappealing beach. The fitness center had good equipment, and there was a sauna and steam room. The welcome drinks (two beverages and a macaron and chocolate set) were a nice touch. Guests can also enjoy discounts at F&B outlets with the ACCOR Plus membership. Dining:
Dinner at the Tamarind restaurant featured Thai fusion cuisine with good presentation, though portions were small and not very varied. It’s recommended to order dishes to share, as individual portions may be insufficient. The breakfast spread was decent, offering a variety of options without being overwhelming. However, it’s suggested to avoid the peak hours after 9 AM, as the restaurant gets quite crowded, and guests may need to wait for a table. Other Observations:
There was no lounge for Platinum members, but there was a Happy Hour at the Junction Bar from 7 PM to 10 PM with a 25% discount on drinks. The turn-down service was lacking, and another issue arose with the air conditioning, which needed fixing during the evening. The overall staff was friendly, smiling, and engaging with guests, which left a positive impression. Final Thoughts:
Pullman Phuket Panwa is great for those who want to enjoy the resort's facilities and activities, but the guest felt that the overall experience was a bit of a letdown, especially given the late room availability and missed activities. The high cost didn’t seem to justify the experience, particularly since the guest had planned to use the hotel’s amenities, which were impacted by the delayed check-in. Despite some setbacks, the resort is suitable for members who want to enjoy the benefits and the atmosphere. It’s ideal for a more relaxed stay focused on the resort itself rather than...
