Thai chinese style cooking with a large selections of dishes. Tried their signature deep fried 3 flavour (Spicy, sweet and sour) talapia fish and fried watercress vegatible with pork/prawn gravy. Flavour a little unusual for me, their spicy, sweet and sour was made with plum sause, chill and Chinese fermented bean paste which kinda funky and lacks a strong punch. Leaves a strange aftertaste in your mouth. The watercress was crispy and the gravy was think with a coconut base, a so so for me. One thing is the serving is really big (for a small portion) so prices follows accordingly, we couldn't finish our servings. Owner able to speak Mandarin and Cantonese so ordering was easy. The tour guide brought us to this restaurant. It turned out to be a good choice. We had a sumptuous lunch. I don't know what the dishes are called but they were delicious. I believe one was a prawn dish cooked with young coconut. Then, we had a spicy fish dish. There was also a chicken dish since Betong is famous for their special breed of chickens. Good tasty Thai seafood and local dishes. Nice and smooth Betong steamed chicken and chilli sauce to go with it. Sotong stir fried with salty duck egg taste great and the soft shell crab is deliciously good. Price is reasonable, won't cost an arm or a leg.
