Alt Munchen — Restaurant in Lomé

Located across from the shipping port in Lomé, Alt Munchen is labeled as a German restaurant but the food seem regular in flavor. I must say, I did try the German lentil soup and it was amazing. I could have eaten that alone with bread and wine.

The menu is a bit pricey but okay. I ordered the Lamb chops with potatoes and vegetables. It was overcooked but seasoned nicely. The service was great, the location was difficult to find at night, the environment was cozy...

The quality of the food was not good. My girlfriend is German and said the food is definitely not homemade but probably convenience food... Some of the dishes were also not available. The food is expensive especially compared to other restaurants in Lomé. Location was nice but we were freezing because of the AC. Can’t recommend...

I've been here twice, on consecutive evenings. The first night I ordered the avocado salad, and received two halves of avocados with shrimp.
