A small feedback on the staff of this business is that it was ok dealing with the Tongan workers over fb messenger but when I met and spoke with the boss who I believe it's Australian, I've never met a rude palangi as we call it in Tongan, if you're gonna do business in Tonga you should try and learn about the people and our culture before making comments that maybe a joke from your end but it doesn't sit right with us, I was born and raised in Vava'u and not all of us have to use matts in all occasions and with our event we did not need matts but for you to make a rude comment/joke about it cause we chose not to use matts was extremely disrespectful and we had to cop it because of the circumstances that we were in and it's not easy to change venue last minute in the island. It was not only that but your services need to be better as we had to make multiple payments because y'all couldn't give us the final amount for our event but that's ok cause we did our own calculations cause your staff will tell us a different amount for certain things and only to find out on the spot it's a different amount. Thank you but overall I highly don't recommend this place because there's an obvious look down from the palangi lady there...

For fabulous, innovative, food, great service and a fun atmosphere, The Kracken is not...
Read moreThis place is nicely rated that’s why we went there. Our orders were taken: snapper with coconut and rice, sashimi with rice…1 hour…1:15…I follow up the order. The waitress comes back to our table to confirm the snapper order since there are 3 choices. Snapper with coconut and rice was confirmed again. Another 15 min the orders were served. The snapper was fried and with mash potatoes. Portions are generously sized. However, order and kitchen have some leeway to improve… Sashimi was excellent though. The wasabi...
