Arrived and was ushered to a seat instantly and given menus.
Waited about 10 minutes for the waitress. There was no introduction or question asked pertaining to drinks. She brought the napkin coasters and left.
The waitress returned in 5 minutes to take our orders. My girlfriend ordered the drinks because I was really thirsty and told her to return for the food order while she vet the menu a bit more
I sat for 20 minutes waiting for what was supposed to be a 2 for 1 Special Long Island. In reality, the 2 for 1 was on ice alone. So that's 35 minutes for our first disappointing quencher.
We gave our food order when the waitress brought the drinks. It was a bit loud so she did not hear what my girlfriend was saying clearly therefore we pointed at the menu item instead and she nodded and said ok. Before she left, I asked her what the expected wait time for food was - she replied 15-20 minutes.
20 minutes passes - no sign of the waitress, our 2 for 1 ice finished 10 minutes ago and we're just sitting there belly in hand.
That's 55 minutes with one drink of ice and no food.
During my visit, there were two other waitresses attending to nearby customers. I would see each of them every 10 minute interval AT MOST to ensure that their guests were comfortable.
When one was finished with one of their tables, I asked her to be my waitress. She understandably said that she could not but offered to check on our order which she did.
Instantly, a guy came (not the manager) and asked us what we ordered. We began to describe it to him then he asked if it has sliders etc. We advised him that we did not order anything with sliders. He said that he will check on it and get back to us. He passed about 3 times without stopping to give further information.
About 5 minutes after, the food arrived. Ofcourse, it was not what we ordered. I told our waitress this and she insisted that we did stating that we told her it was this. I asked her to bring me the menu to verify.
The incorrect meal was for myself but I could not eat it because I am allergic to shrimp and I do not eat beef. While she was gone for the menu, my girlfriend suggested that we will switch meals. After waiting an hour for food - I quickly agreed.
The waitress returned with the menu and I pointed to the item we initially pointed to and asked if it was what was on our table. The waitress replied "NO" and instantly grabbed up the food and said that she will get it for us.
I AM STILL AT THE TABLE WITH A GLASS OF ICE AND NO OFFER FOR A REFILL
I understand a mistake, but the manner of treating with it was very distasteful. In addition, I was not prepared to wait another 30 minutes for food. We had to follow her to let her know that we were no longer interested and would like the bill.
1 minute later, the supervisor arrived. "Excuse me exactly what it is you ordered" in a very rash tone. We showed her, explained to her that we pointed to it because the waitress could not hear us then she left.
The supervisor returned after investigation and apologized for the miscommunication. She asked that we wait for it suggesting it will only take 10 minutes. I was no longer interested in waiting so we paid and left.
$300+ for chicken pasta and 2 drinks over about 80 minutes.
Maybe my experience would have been different if I had one of the other waitresses. The error with the food is not the issue, the service and attention received was dirt poor. The increased prices are not worth your time if this is the subpar service that one could easily get.
I will never return.
We visited The Factory afterwards to quench my thirst and fill my gutt and while I am not very intrigued by their menu offering - the service was night and day...
Read moreI visited Jaxx Grand Bazaar tonight for the first time since rebranding for my 10 year anniversary. I had an awesome evening at Jaxx the dining experience was exquisite. We were seated to the back away from the other tables which was perfect for the both of us to get away from the other families dining and have a more intimate dinner. Our waitress was Aisha (not sure of correct spelling) she was pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. She made great recommendations and told us about the weekly specials that we would be definitely interested in being apart of. As I read reviews of the food taking long to be prepared, I decided to time the food from placing an order to table and it only took 20mins which was enough time to have a drink and talk before the food got out. I had the half rack of ribs with the seasoned wedge fries and coleslaw. The meat was cooked to perfection, it was dripping of the bone and tasted amazing. My wife had the Jaxx Signature Platter, she also said that it was amazing and I even tasted it some of the best tandoori chicken I have ever tasted. We ended the evening with the dessert recommended by our waitress the chocolate molten cake with ice cream, definitely a must have to end your evening at Jaxx. It was just a great way to end...
Read moreHorrible!!! Customer service was blehhh... went with a friend. When we entered the hostess was on her phone sitting (as compared to ruby tuesday and most restaurants would normally open the door for customers) then the hostess walked wayyyyy in front of us and when we finally reached our table, pelt the menus on the table and walked off... the waitress actually came one time just to introduce herself and she was pretty friendly but she took forever to come back to take our order... I ordered the wings and shrimp combo with fries... tbh I couldn't tell if the wings were under seasoned or fresh... either way I didn't like the wings, shrimp was good, fries were a little soft. Coke was good tho, but then again can u really mess up a soft drink with ice. When we were leaving.. hostess was nowhere to be found so of course we let ourselves out to see 3 of the employees liming, when we opened the door, they were startled but when they realized that it was just us, one of them was like 'oh' and went back to laughing at their lame jokes... the point is... Jaxx needs to close down and bring back ruby tuesday cuz this is ridiculous because for the fact that we were actually easy customers, I can't imagine how they would be for a bigger group or someone who...
