I went with a party of 12 for their pre fixe Christmas dinner. Service was great, waiters and waitresses were kind, could be a little more attentive in some instances. The alcoholic drinks were good, but one person ordered the passion fruit juice and it tasted like flavoured water. The sorrel spritzer that came with the menu, also was also water down. Couldn’t taste the sorrel nor the alcohol that was in it, too much ice. The food was okay, to start I had the salad which tasted great with the candied dates and walnuts but the other appetizers like the chicken liver pate - did not taste anything like liver and the green pea lentil soup - was too thick and a bit cold when served. The main that I had was the brown sugar glazed ham and potatoes au gratin with vegetables. Ham and potatoes were perfect but the veggies were very undercooked, including the zucchini, broccolini and peppers - maybe this was the idea for it but it didn’t pair well with the other items on the plate. Dessert was as expected, perfect end of the dinner. I got the chocolate mousse with buttercream. (I think it was butter scotch? I can’t remember) I also had an amaretto sour which was mixed well, drank that throughout my meal. 8/10 recommend for the Christmas menu, cannot comment on their regular menu items.

Normally Monday's are hard to find somewhere to celebrate a birthday as most places are closed. So it was a blessing that they were open and ready. Opening on a Monday also means that there weren't a lot of people, so we probably got a more personalized experience with little to no delays. We weren't sure of what to expect so we got the servers recommendations. I had the lamb and my birthday date had the pork chop. The lamb was cooked perfectly medium-well as I requested, the veggies were cooked yet crunchy and the mash was creamy and smooth. Tamarind wine sauce was just succulent. My date loved the pork chop, it was fully cooked and juicy. She wasn't a fan of the large cut veggies, but she loved the roasted cassava and whatever white sauce they added. We weren't in a alcohol mood so we got 2 virgin passion fruit & lychee mojitos. They were sweet and tangy. We still had some room after dinner so we got the house recommended dessert, passion fruit cheesecake with berries. We were amazed at how delicious this was and loved it. All in all, I will definitely be back for a full dinner course sometime soon.

Chaud Café's latest offering brunch is much appreciated. My humble suggestion is probably not venturing on an empty tummy, simply due to the fact that you would end up with a hefty bill at the end of it all. The choices are all so tempting!!! I started things off with a Mango Mimosa...if sweet and yummy fits your palette, then this is the option for you (me too 😉). I went with the pancakes as my starter (and I was glad I did). They were more like crepes and sooooooo good. The whipped butter just solidified its awesomeness. Then I went for the salmon with potato risotto. A sizeable portion of salmon and a deceivingly serving of potato. A solid choice for my part, no regrets. On our table the shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles and huevos rancheros got rave reviews as well. The bread & butter pudding hit a homerun for me. The warmth of the "bread" with the ice cream topping is a match made in heaven. I hope they continue with this venture. However keep in mind it's a bit pricey but tasty. Cheers!

A Symphony of Flavors: A Culinary Delight at Chaud Cafe & Wine Bar

Nestled in the heart of the city, Chaud Cafe is a hidden gem that caters to the discerning palates of food enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in their remarkable Roasted Beet, Pumpkin & Kale Salad with Goat's Cheese, Raisins, Apple, Almonds, Pumpkin Seeds, Sherry Wine Vinaigrette, and grilled chicken, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional culinary masterpiece.

From the moment the salad arrived at the table, I was captivated by its vibrant colors, displaying an array of fresh ingredients meticulously arranged in a harmonious composition. The first bite was a revelation, as the tender roasted beets, earthy pumpkin and robust kale seamlessly combined to create a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds.

The addition of tangy goat's cheese elevated the dish to new heights, providing a creamy and slightly tangy note that perfectly complemented the sweetness of the raisins and the crispness of the apple. The delicate crunch of almonds and pumpkin seeds added a delightful texture, while the succulent grilled chicken added a satisfying protein element to the ensemble.

The true star of this salad, however, was undoubtedly the Sherry Wine Vinaigrette. Its balanced acidity and depth of flavor brought all the ingredients together in a culinary embrace, imparting a delightful tang that beautifully enhanced the salad's overall taste profile. Each ingredient stood out while seamlessly melding with the others, creating a sublime balance that left me craving for more.

Not only did this salad tantalize my taste buds, but it also left me feeling nourished and revitalized. The fresh, locally sourced ingredients showcased the commitment of Chaud Cafe to quality and sustainability, making every bite a guilt-free pleasure.

Apart from the exceptional flavors, I must commend the impeccable presentation of the dish. The salad was meticulously plated with an artistic touch, displaying the chef's attention to detail and their passion for creating visually stunning culinary works of art.

To accompany this culinary delight, the restaurant offers a carefully curated selection of wines and craft cocktails, ensuring a perfect pairing to further enhance the dining experience.

The service at Chaud Cafe was attentive and friendly, with knowledgeable staff who were eager to offer recommendations and ensure that every aspect of the meal was tailored to my preferences. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and exuded a relaxed elegance that made me feel instantly at ease.

In conclusion, my experience at Chaud Cafe was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to their exquisite Roasted Beet, Pumpkin & Kale Salad. This tantalizing creation captured the essence of seasonal flavors in a way that delighted both my taste buds and my senses. If you're a culinary adventurer seeking an unforgettable salad experience, I wholeheartedly recommend treating yourself to this exceptional dish.

Second time at chaud's. Atm it's my most favorite restaurant in TnT because of the taste of their food. The combination of items and ingredients make for a superb experience. The ambience is nice....dining outdoors is nice. However I can't handle the smoking ..it affected me...so indoors is recommended if u can't find a suitable outside spot.... starter was the coconut pumpkin soup...it was really good...loved the crunch of the pumpkin seeds and tasted a hint of sesame oil.. we had some bread (can't remember the actual name atm) with a pesto that was absolutely amazing ...ordered a strawberry spritzer that disappointed cause it tasted like sprite with just strawberries and peppermint thrown into it...should have taken the mango madness...loved it the last time.... for dinner...i chose the shrimp ceviche which I was not expecting to have in a huge glass.... it was difficult to eat because I had to take out the tortilla chip pieces from the cup and then drink/fork up the ingredients from the cup...prob I don't know the right way to eat it...that aside...the taste was simply amazing...the tomato sauce tasted like a blended tomato choka..the guacamole and jalapenos assisted in flavoring the concotion...i liked it pretty well...and it was quite filling... I thought otherwise when I saw it and had ordered the pork belly with chutney and cauliflower puree...the way the sauces oozed out of that meat was epic... in spite of the one or two minor things.. I would definitely ...
