Benkay Sushi — Restaurant in Tunis

This review is really hard to write as I have been a frequent customer for several years. Recently, I even thought the quality had been improving, but due to the last two experiences ordering through Kool, I am afraid our relationship has come to an end and I will source my sushi from elsewhere. This is after spending several thousand dinar over time. A few days ago, with my order, I received saumon sashimi and nigiri that arrived with a strong rotten smell. As I have never experienced this with Benkay, I notified Kool and received a refund of the costs. Tonight, I ordered again and received the same rotten meat for saumon sashimi, nigiri, and a Tiger roll. We called Benkay directly to notify them and suggest that they check the rotten saumon they were delivering. The guy on the phone said he would notify the manager. We have not yet heard back, but anticipate a refund from Kool. My issue with Benkay is that they absolutely must have known that they are serving rotten saumon and continued to do so. I think they may have either received a bad import or maybe lost power in the extreme heat which resulted in spoilage. Regardless, there are other options for sushi. I accepted that this could happen one time. But twice in the same week is absolutely unacceptable and Benkay has lost my business. I’ll go back to Origaki and others that also...

Very very very disappointed… first time was good but slow, went last Wednesday after taking my kids from school and all of us were hungry.. my wife was there before and asked for food for the kids to get it fast, i arrived and wanted to order but 10 minutes gone no one even came to ask us what we want, i went to the reception with the menu to order and the girl said it will take at least 30 minutes!!! What ? I said ok give me the food for the kids , she said it will also take 30 minutes.. Said keep it for you and left immediately. So so poor service.. Very very very slow.. Not mentioning the staff you may set at your table for ever and he will never...

Overall, I had a great experience at Benkay sushi restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. The waiting time was average, however, there are a few areas that could be improved. One suggestion would be for the staff to ask customers if they have any allergies before placing their order. This is especially important for those who are new to sushi and may not be familiar with the components of the dishes. Additionally, the staff could also do a better job of explaining the different types of sushi and their ingredients to customers. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, but with the above...
