A very unique place and highly recommend. My friend and I came to this place after we were shopping for a trip we were planning to have the day after, so after we bought the materials and the things we need for the trip we decided to relax at a place and count the receipts so we know how much everyone will pay from the group that were coming with. So we went to this place (Saruja) and we ordered nothing but çay. And we relaxed there and counted the money and the service was amazing. At the end when we both finished counting the money and the receipts, we decided that it was time to leave, usually I'm the one who's paying but this time my friend decided that he's the one that will pay, and he insisted. So he went to pay and I started to pack our things, a minute later after I finished packing the things my friend came back with a smile on his face and he told me that they didn't accept the money. Usually here in Turkey they give you the çay for free if you ordered something, but this time we ordered nothing but çay witch you have to pay for in most of the places. But they refused to take any money for the çay l, witch might mean nothing to some but ant that day me and my friend we were on a tight budget but now that I'm back with my family I would like to tell to that this restaurant just won a everyday customer to the rest...
Read moreOverall, the food at Saruja is good, tasty, and portions are very reasonable. The real problem is in the service. Although the staff are freindly, the speed of service is terribly slow. Recently I went for lunch. I ordered soup and a daily main course. It took a while to get the soup, while the main course was served 2 minutes after that. I think both were heated in the microwave as they were extremely hot. When I started having the main course, which was stuffed grape leaves with meat cuts "Yabraq", it tasted nice. A called the waiter and asked to prepare another order of the main course for take away for a friend. I finished my meal and waited for almost half an hour before asking for the check and the take away meal. To my surprise, few minutes later the waiter returned apologising that they were out of Yabraq!!! It is worth mentioning that when I arrived at the restaurant, it was almost 20% busy and reached around 50% by the time I was leaving. Number of staff was very reasonable to the crowd, yet the efficiency was low. Is it a kitchen and food prep problem? I'm not sure. Finally, I think the price of the meal...
Read moreThe place had an appealing ambiance, and the fact that it has multiple branches is a positive sign. I had the opportunity to try both breakfast and dinner, and both meals turned out to be satisfying.
As a breakfast person, I relished the falafel, hummus, eggs, and Arabic bread served during the morning. The flavors blended well, making it a delightful start to the day.
For dinner, we ordered ribs and meat with tomato sauce, along with slices of tomato and something called Maria. Additionally, there was chicken with hot sauce on the menu. The dinner selections were also enjoyable, offering a diverse range of tastes.
Overall, the place offers a pleasant dining experience, whether it's breakfast or dinner. If you appreciate flavorful and varied dishes, you're likely to have a great time...
