I’m writing to you to express my excitement regarding a visit of the Şıvekar restaurant that happened yesterday.
There is no words to explain how we are amazed by such an experience. We could have not asked for a better place for celebrating the Christmas Eve with our friends. Despite the fact that I used to visit a lot of places around the world, this one has became the most remarkable. Let me explain what it was about.
The first thing that I like is the calm, cozy and also modern atmosphere and how the space is organized. For instance, we booked a table for four and there was a fireplace for making grill meat ourselves. Could you imagine how great it is?
The second one and the most existing part of our visiting is the quality of meat that I had hardly eaten before. The lamb and marble beaf were amazing and the fact that we cooked it ourselves made this process as cozy as if we were making a barbecue outside in a forest, but in more comfortable conditions.
From what have been outlined before I would certainly recommend The Şıvekar restaurant in Instanbul for all who are searchig for a place for gathering essential events, especially if you get together with a big company of friends. I’m sure you will get a...
Read morePositives: The format offered is basically pick meat from a display (and other accompanying plates), cook it yourself at the table. They have a selection of kebabs, lamb and beef cuts, etc. The place is clean, other than the cigarette smell that plagues most restaurants in Turkey. Some of the staff speak English, they are also friendly and willing to help. Cons: I am not really for going out to eat at a restaurant and cook my own food. The server we got, in contrast to the gentleman who helped us select the meat cuts, was rather rude. He was not willing to make a minimal effort to communicate with us, and was throwing the plates and glasses at the table, very unprofessionally. There is also the fact that the stakes were silced very thin, like 1/4 inch. in order to seal any sort of flavor into the meat the cuts must be thicker. I understand that for some customers the idea of cooking their own food, in a Korean restaurant fashion, might seem appealing. But considering their prices, It is my opinion that they can cook it before...
Read moreTerrible experence here. Our waiter had his hand in his mouth for 5 minutes, picking something out of his tooth before someone on the floor noticed my entire family staring at him. After a while he cleaned his hand with a wipe but kept touching his hair and beard...Absolutely nasty and unprofessional service on top of being extremely expensive for sub par food. Honestly don't bother going here for a nice dinner. We paid for a nice dinner and then some but most of what was served was second grade meat, at most decent ish meze. Nicely decorated atmosphere and food is well plated but pure style doesnt make up for zero substance. I've been in this industry and Ive dined all around the world for a decade now and this restaurant was one of the worst so far. Get some...
