Restaurant Review
We had high expectations for our visit, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. We were anticipating a selection of starters, perhaps five dishes as a mezze-style offering, especially since the menu mentioned "mezzes" in plural, listing items like fish, wine, yogurt, or vegetables. This led us to believe we would be served a variety of small dishes. Instead, we were only served one dish of yogurt and one dish of fish. Initially, we ordered a vegetable dish and yogurt after being informed that no fish was available, only to be served fish afterward, which added to the confusion. Had it been clarified that the "appetizer" listed on the menu referred to just one dish, we would have ordered more to enjoy a variety. Additionally, no explanation was given as to what we were eating, which left us feeling quite underwhelmed.
When we ordered lamb chops, we were instead served tenderloin of lamb without any explanation. This was yet another mix-up that could have been easily avoided with clearer communication.
Adding to the frustration, we originally came at 1 pm, as advertised on Google, only to be told the opening time was actually 3 pm. This forced us to leave and come back later, which made the experience even more disappointing, especially after we had been looking forward to the visit after seeing the restaurant's photos online.
Despite being the only diners, we felt unwelcome, and the service was poor throughout the meal. For the price we paid, we expected a much better overall experience. The complimentary dessert, offered as an apology, was a nice gesture but did not compensate for the multiple issues we encountered.
Overall, the meal was disappointing, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the glowing reviews...
Read moreWent there for dinner as it was Michelin recommended and had my hopes high due to Bodrum incredible food standards. The service is what brings this to 3 stars maybe a 2.5. We waited 40 minutes to get to choose our mezzes, no menu was provided while seated, had their house wine which was average on an empty stomach. Due to the fact that no menu was provided, we didn’t know what was on the menu or how much it cost. Which probably is rarely done in actual Michelin star winning restaurants. Was offered turk kahve waited at least 20 minutes for it. Our reservation for 2 people was at 8:30pm, we left the restaurant at 10:55pm.
On the food side there mezzes were probably the highlight and incredible combination of flavours. The mains were a hit and miss. We ordered ciğer, küsleme and cop sis. Ciğer was perfect, kusleme was cooked perfect half and other half was overcooked. The cop sis was really dry and overcooked due to the thickness of the wooden shish they use. Kusleme came with a horse radish/mustard condiment which was completely ruined the dish which we didnt touch. If we wanted horse radish/mustard, I can have wasabi at a japanese place. Their artichoke dessert was great too. Definitely room for improvement in terms of food...
Read moreI can’t recommend this place enough, it’s a hidden gem in Bitez Bodrum; as we were only foreigners there that’s the best quality control when restaurant is full with locals.
You feel as you visit your relatives (if you had one😅) in Turkey. The restaurant is in the garden, it gives you a feeling of dining at дача (you need to have Russian or East European friends to understand the complete meaning) Food is very fresh, very delicious, olive oil that they use is a highlight by itself. Good selection of wine, we tried the local one and it was amazing. Incredibly warm welcome by the Team, though we didn’t make a booking they accommodated us at the high table first then offered to change once dining table available (please make a booking as place is full for a dinner) Personal choice: must try octopus (one of the best we’ve ever tried) and take all desserts (incredible combination) Important: team speak English and accept credit cards, but good to have some change for tips. Once again it’s highly...
