NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN. I’M SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE THINKING THEY ARE ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE. ANYWAY BAD REVIEW COMING ALONG FOR NUSRET IN ITS MOTHER COUNTRY! THIS IS DEFINITELY THE LAST TIME I GO THERE.
WE BOOKED 3 WEEKS AGO. WE ARRIVED TO FIND OUT THAT RESERVATIONS DON’T MATTER AND WAITED FOR 30 MINUTES IN LINE OUTSIDE WHILE PEOPLE WERE ENTERING WITHOUT EVEN STANDING IN LINE. WE TRIED TO UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC BUT OF COURSE GOT DISMISSED BY THE STAFF IN QUITE A RUDE WAY (STRIKE 1). THEN CAME THE HOST AND RANDOMLY SELECTED PEOPLE THAT WERE WAITING IN LINE TO ENTER WHERE MOST WERE BEHIND US. AGAIN, WHERE’S THE LOGIC? WELL WHO KNOWS (STRIKE 2).
WE THEN ENTERED WHERE WE WERE ASKED TO BE SEATED LESS THAN 1M AWAY FROM SOMEONE ON THE SAME TABLE. HAVE THEY COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE PANDEMIC? (STRIKE 3)
WHEN WE ASKED TO CHANGE OUR TABLE WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST AND “SORRY NO LUCK YOU GOT THIS TABLE”. WE KEPT INSISTING UNTIL WE GOT A TABLE WHICH WAS AROUND 1M AWAY FROM THE OTHER TABLE BUT AT LEAST NOT ON THE SAME TABLE. SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES COMPLETELY IGNORED (STRIKE 4).
NOW TO BE FAIR, THE FOOD WAS VERY TASTY, THE MEAT IS OF VERY GOOD QUALITY. THE DESERT WAS EPIC BUT OF COURSE THEY HAD TO RUIN IT. WE HAD A STARTER, A LARGE MAIN COURSE AND A DESERT, WE FINISHED IN LESS THAN AN HOUR, BECAUSE THEY WERE IN A HURRY TO THROW US OUT TO GET OTHER PEOPLE IN. THEY WERE GOING SO FAST THAT THEY FORGOT SERVING PLATTERS FOR A DISH. WE ALSO LITERALLY GOT THE CHECK WITHOUT EVEN ASKING FOR IT (STRIKE 5).
I AM GOING TO DISREGARD THAT THEY BILLED 2 DESERTS FOR US ALTHOUGH WE ASKED FOR ONE BUT THAT HAPPENS SOMETIMES IN THE BEST RESTAURANTS SO WILL LET THIS GO :) AND OF COURSE THEY RECTIFIED IT.
WE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE LEFT FROM THE START BUT DIDN’T WANT TO RUIN THE EVENING EVEN FURTHER BY NOT FINDING A PLACE TO EAT (I GET CRANKY IF I DON’T EAT :))
POINT IS I DON’T CARE WHO YOU ARE, YOU SHOULD NEVER TREAT PEOPLE THAT WAY ESPECIALLY YOUR CUSTOMERS. THAT’S THE 101...
Read moreWell, what can I say, this time me and my family have really bad experience in your restaurant. Last year we visited Nusr-Et in Istanbul, and it was the best dinner during our trip. All servants were really professional and communicative, we felt like we visited a special show with good actors, positioning of this place was great, they reflect the whole concept of NUSR-ET brand, it was really perfect. As for NUSR-ET restaurant in Bodrum - it was complete disappointment. Rude sommelier, who grimaced and with all his appearance showed his disdain for customers. Instead of the wine we chose, he tried to impose on us wine 2 times the amount of what we chose. Finally, we chose another one, and it was just simple red wine, without something special. If you don’t have full wine cart, note it in the menu!!! You make your clients feel really uncomfortable. Also, I want to separately note the FAKE reservation on your web-site, it simply doesn’t work. We made it for 21:00, we came to your place at 20:50, and we stayed the line with all other guest without booking in one line. Some of your hosts would periodically skip the queue with some people without answering the question why they were skipped the queue. This is complete disrespect for other customers. If you can't handle the flow of people, organize your work or work by appointment only. I also want to note the loudly screaming music in the restaurant. This noise takes away any desire to dine at your place. Nothing is heard, no friends at the table, no rude sommeliers and waiters who do not hear half of the order and ask everything several times. The food was cold, they served it for a very long time. This is nothing compared to the same dishes in a restaurant in Istanbul. And don't expect any promised show when ordering a gold steak, you will not see it!!! No one just wants or knows how to do it. In general, I highly do not recommend this restaurant in Bodrum, go to Istanbul for visit this...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars then that’s what I would definitely do because even 1 star is too much for Nusret, Bodrum. I had a reservation for 4 people and we had called two days in advance and noted multiple times we wanted a table on the terrace. When we arrived to the restaurant, we were informed that they cannot seat 4 people on one table for social distancing purposes (mind you this was not mentioned over the phone during reservation and second we are literally a family of 4). We would have to be split into 2 tables of 2 - please explain to me how this makes any sense. Nevertheless we were given a long table right next to the kitchen (far from the terrace) and said we would have to social distance on the table and leave 2 seats between each guest…… of course we didn’t accept to sit on such a table after requesting many times to sit on the terrace. Of course the “manager” came and said she would arrange something on the terrace. We were directed to our table but it was two different tables not next to each other and we would have to split the seating… First one hostess said it was restaurant rules to social distance guests then the manager said it was government rules. I most definitely know it’s not government rules as all other restaurants are seating tables of 4 or more with no issues (we were at a famous turkish restaurant the day before and were a table of 6). We most definitely did not stay and we went to another restaurant that seated us with great service. The so called manager didn’t even apologize as she watched us walk out the restaurant nor did she try and make something work to make sure we would enjoy our stay at Nusret. We were so excited to have Nusret but after this disgusting experience, I now know their value and care to guests and customers. It’s such a shame to have...
