Oburus Momus — Restaurant in Kaş

The place with wonderfull view to the sea. Particularly at the evening when the sun is getting down. Thebplace is really great (except maybe the way to it if you're driving car. Parking is not thr biggest advantages here as well as everywhere in Kas in high season. The staff is good, maybe sometimes they are trying to playtheir roles too accurate and it is noticable. The brewerages are good, there are some interesting positions in the menu ( I mean non alcoholic ones). The menu is also good but very similar to their sister brand Oborus Notus. A lot of the same positions. The dishes are tasty, yes, but the main thing of you want to go here it is the location and the views particularly if you will decide to get a romantic date here. I am not the vegetarian but the dishes was very good for me as well as for the person who likes to have a good steak;) The summer evening atmosphere, vibe and mood is guaranteed for you and your vis a vis for the evening at Oborus momus in Kas. I hope the globalisation will not touch this small piece of wonderful part of our planet and you will be able to enjoy the pure beauty without McDonalds and company and many others. Discovered this place out of luck. Great place for a sunset dinner. Food was delicious. we went here twice back to back. Onion rings , arancini , beetroot carpaccio , garlicy mushrooms and buffalo wings were great for starters. Unfortunately they did not have gnocchi on both the occasion.

Main course was good too. We ordered wild.mushroom pasta , caprese burger. The caprese burger has almost no salt in the patty so I requested for some salt but I would not order the caprese burger again as I did not like it much. The pasta was delicious must try.

We also ordered risotto which was mind-blowing too.

For drinks detox juice is the best. Mandarin not so great just like TANG.

NO PARKING available. You CANNOT park in the right side parking area which you see before reaching the restaurant and was asked by obrus staff to park there. We tried and the owner of the hotel who owns the parking space told us obrus members are not allowed and if we park they will break the car. So we basically got THREATENED. Hence we were told to park on the road side wherever...

4 kişi olarak bir akşam yemeği yedik. Öncelikle ambiyans çok güzel, renk, mobilya, duvar boyası vs. seçimleri basit, göz yormayan ancak şık denilebilecek bir şekilde dizayn edilmiş. Özellikle sandalye minderleri gecenin en iyilerinden biriydi.

Servis çok akıcı ve profesyoneldi. Servisler açıldı, şarabımız bardağa koyuldu, başlangıçlar geldi. Tek kötü noktalardan birisi başlangıç servisleri kaldırılmadan ana yemek servis edilmeye çalışıldı, bizim uyarımızla yeni servislerimiz geldi.

Bir diğer hoşuma gitmeyen nokta ise, ilk defa geldiğimiz ve farklı şeyler denemek istediğimiz için kız arkadaşımla 2 farklı ana yemek söyledik ve arka arkaya gelmesini rica ettik ancak mutfak yoğunluğundan bunun mümkün olmadığı söylendi. Aslında ana fişteki makarnayı iptal edip, ekstra bir fiş çıkarsalar mutfağa, biz burgerimizi yediğimizde hiçbir problem olmazdı. Biraz yaratıcı düşünmek gerekiyor diye düşünüyorum.

Su servisi de biraz aksıyordu açıkçası, sıcak bir yaz gecesinde atlanmaması gereken bir noktaydı. Biliyorum garson sayısı masa sayısına göre az ve yoğunlardı ancak bu benim problemim değil, o zaman servis ücreti alınmaması gerekiyor aldığımız eksik servis göz önüne alındığında. Bizden bahşiş alamadılar.

Yemeklere gelince, kuzey afrika yağı diye övüne övüne anlattıkları yağ fena değildi ancak onun eşlikçisi olarak focaccia tercihi çok yanlış, ikisinin de tadını alamıyorsunuz, sanki boşluk yermiş gibiydi. Focaccia tuzsuz ve yağsızdı. Öte yandan sarımsaklı ekmek ise hoşuma gitti gayet iyiydi.

Başlangıçlar yaratıcıydı, özellikle buffalo soslu karnabahar favorim oldu. İstiridye mantarını ise hiç beğenmedim bence güzel bir ürünün, kendisine yakışmayan bir teknikle pişirilmiş.

Ana yemeklerde farklı mantarlardan oluşan makarna yedik, lezzet olarak tam olması gerektiği gibiydi ancak hem ılık geldi hem de iki kişi yiyeceğimizi söylememize rağmen servislerimiz hazırlanmamıştı, baya soğuk yedik. Daha makarna bitmeden tabii ki burgerimiz geldi ve onu da soğuk yemek zorunda kaldık, ekmeği soğuk ve kızartılmamıştı, vejetaryen köfteyi ise beğendim ancak beyond burger ile kıyaslanamaz kesinlikle.

Kendime söylemediğim ancak tadına baktığım soyalı lazanya ise lezzetliydi ancak bir lazanyanın en can alıcı noktası üstünün kızarması ve çıtırlığıdır, bize gelen lazanya ise bembeyaz geldi, kıymalı mıhlama gibiydi desem yanlış olmaz.

Sonuç olarak gelecek gördüğüm bir restoran ve gelişime açık, işletmecisinin ise vizyonlu birisi olduğu belli ancak geliştirilmesi gereken birçok detay var. Ekip toplantılarının sıklaştırılması ya da hem salon hem mutfak yönetiminde yeniliğe gidilmesi gerekiyor diye düşünüyorum. Mutfak demişken, mutfak ışıkları bütün gece gözümüzü aldı, lütfen o kısmı örtün. Fotoğrafçınızı ise güneş battıktan sonra hizmet verdirtmeyin, sürekli şak şak şak flaşlar bu düzeye yakışmadı.

Yine de zamanla michelin rehberi tavsiyelerine girebileceğini düşünüyorum. Belki de sürpriz bir yıldız bile olabilir kendilerini diğer sezonlarda geliştirirlerse. Farklı bir deneyim yaşamak isteyen herkese tavsiye ediyorum ancak beklentilerinizi çok...
