Our dining experience at Zeferan Cappadocia, a high-class top steakhouse, was nothing short of a gastronomic spectacle. It was a night where culinary excellence and artistic presentation combined to create an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we entered, the service was absolutely exquisite (Thank you Erdal Insel). The staff demonstrated impeccable attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our experience was flawless. Their professionalism and attentiveness set the stage for an evening of unparalleled dining.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the themed chef competition. This original concept was not just entertaining but also a delight to the senses. Watching skilled chefs showcase their talents in a friendly culinary battle was both thrilling and enlightening. The opportunity to taste the results of their creativity and expertise added an extra layer of excitement to our meal.
The ambiance of Zeferan Cappadocia was warm and inviting, with an elegant decor that complemented the high-quality cuisine. Every dish served was a work of art, displaying a level of originality and finesse that is rare to find. The flavors were rich, the ingredients were of the highest quality, and the presentation was simply stunning.
A particularly enchanting moment was when rose petals were gently dropped over us just before the dessert course. This thoughtful and romantic gesture added a touch of magic to our evening and is something we still talk about with wonder. It was a sensory experience that elevated the meal from excellent to sensational.
The concept of Zeferan Cappadocia is indeed world-class. The combination of a vibrant atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and fabulous food with original presentation makes it a gem in the culinary world. The experience was not just a meal but a celebration of the finest aspects of dining.
Zeferan Cappadocia is more than just a steakhouse; it's a destination for those who appreciate the art of fine dining. We left with a deep appreciation for the culinary arts and an eagerness to return and relive this extraordinary experience (Thank you...
Read moreI brought my family to have dinner here, after reading rave reviews. TL,DR: The ambience was great, but the food and service were not up to notch. There is a great emphasis on theatrics, but the fundamentals of food and service aren’t quite there.
Food was flavourful, but most of our dishes arrived warm to cold (with the exception of the hot plate), and on clarification we confirmed that they were intended to arrive hot. Most of the food were also oily which was not really to our palette, but it was delicious all the same.
The service on the other hand was not deserving of the price point of this restaurant.
The wait staff had theatrics around the serving of bread, but left us wondering whether we had to serve ourselves, or whether they’d put it on our plates when they were at our table. Butter for the bread was repeatedly requested, and only turned up after a wait.
Although we ordered food for sharing, the food arrived without proper serving utensils - again, only arrived after a wait and request. We were also surprised that the food arrived on beautiful plates that were chipped, and it was only explained to us layer that we only realised later that they were antique pieces.
The only saving grace for the place for food and service was the salad cart, which we’d wholeheartedly recommend.
What is really symptomatic of this restaurant is that the theatrics are really amazing (storied plates, interesting dishes served in multiple ways) but it lacks the basic fundamentals - hot food, attention to service, and not serving your guests dishes on chipped plates (despite their storied history however, would still hurt anyone handling it).
If you’re expecting a fine dining experience, you’ll get the theatrics - but not with the food and service that should come at this price point. Your money is better spent elsewhere with hearty, hot food & good...
Read moreThe experience was extraordinary from the beginning to the end. The on-site staff were very welcoming and offered a personalised experience based on the occasion we were celebrating! The ambiance and energy of the restaurant, hotel and entire property is very positive and inviting. We were honoured to meet with the owner of the hotel group who is such a humble visionary that strives on offering a quality experience, sustainable tourism at affordable prices for all guests.
Huseyin the food and beverage director at Ajwa Zafren went the extra mile to host us. Huseyin is very passionate and knowledgeable and shared the detail behind each dish served. He gave us an overview of the property and offering at Zafren. We were served quality food - a 7 course meal at a very affordable rate, included in this was the passion, the empathetic customer service and human connection that was offered by Huseyin, Orhan the executive chef and Mustafa. The attention to detail of the food prep, deco, presentation and taste is unexplainable! One has to experience it and be in the moment to enjoy it. We are grateful to have met Huseyin and team, he is an author of a book and gifted us the book in celebration of our special occasion. The desert was made to perfection with layer of ice cream, flavoured cream cheese and sponge cake.
Nur the guest relations manager took us on a tour of the property. She is very knowledgeable, shared the story of the property, the detail of the furniture and ornament chosen to decorate the hotel and showed us the various cave rooms, mini zoo, sustainable tourism sites on the property.
