Chinson’s is BOMB! That’s all you need to know! We came here as soon as we landed from our flight and rented a car. The waitress there is SO NICE! She gave great recommendations for places to visit on the island as well as what to eat! The service, drinks, ambiance for lunch were so great we had to come back a second time! Drinks we got were also BUSSIN! We shared the conch fritters, Jamaican beef patties and Oxtail. The conch was great and the Pattie’s were alright. The oxtail was really great considering it was our first time having it! The owner also came out to check on us and I kept saying how great the waitress was. She also loved seeing photos from our wedding so she was the best, like your own mom! On our second visit we saw the same waitress and we’re so happy to update her on our travels! This time we tried the shrimp basket and their Chinese food (egg drop soup, shrimp lo mein, spring rolls) which were both amazing! We were SHOCKED on how good the Chinese food was considering we’re from NYC. This could compete against any NY Chinese we’ve had. The shrimp was so fresh and delicious some of the best on the island we had. We actually tried to come a third time but they’re closed on Sundays! Basically this is a must go to as was our best meals on the island for lunch or early dinner. Great view of the sunset as well!

I ONLY went to this restaurant because of the reviews I read. This is my honest review. Two Words: Utterly disappointed. Location: off the main road, there’s constant noise from the nonstop flow of traffic. Feels like you’re eating at a truck stop. Restaurant: all outdoors, no air conditioned section. It’s the end of July and the temperature is oppressively HOT. So uncomfortable to be sweating and eating a meal. Service: our server was not a happy person. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked for water for the table. She seemed annoyed the whole time. So unpleasant! She is doing the restaurant a disservice and I wish I had an opportunity to tell the manager when she stopped by the table as we were leaving. Food: decent. We saw lots of locals coming and going for takeout/takeway. Locals smart, they didn’t dine in! They just grabbed their food to go! Overall unpleasant experience and would not recommend. Sorry, had high hopes for the place.

I cannot give this restaurant high enough praise. This was the best restaurant we visited during our stay in Turks and Caicos. The food was amazing, the drinks were great, the service was top notch, and the bathrooms were very clean. Antonette (sp?) was our server and she was a joy to interact with. Her recommendations were all on point. We had the jerk chicken & pork, the goat, and the ox tail. All were delicious! The goat and oxtail were some of the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly prepared with seasonings that enhance the flavors of the goat and oxtail. We also had bread, plantains, peas & rice, festival, mini Jamaican beef patties, and corn bread. Everything was delicious. This place is also very reasonably priced. Lots of locals eat here. I highly recommend you stop by this restaurant while you are on island. Also, they make fresh bread and pastries that we enjoyed the next day for breakfast! So delicious!
