Fellow Texan here, so (1) I know my queso, and (2) I also know my margaritas. I'm always skeptical of finding top notch queso and margs, but the owners (who are great btw), really know their stuff, and I was not disappointed one bit. Quite the opposite. This hidden gem was kindly shared with us, and while I am writing a review to rave about it, I also hope Mis Amigos stays mostly off the road for typical tourist, bc that is truly part of the appeal. A break from the tourists, even when you are one yourself. The food was great, the people were even better, and the margs were amazing. Then to top it off I met an awesome furry four legged (shout out to Luther, handsome devil, who is a regular & equally, if not more spoiled, than the human visitors). Pretty sure he knows how to work the owners 🤣. Lastly, the blue underwater world bar was beautiful & really added to the vibes. The painter in me truly appreciated the masterpiece and ambient lighting. So I WILL be back Tina! Thanks for treating these Texas tourists...
Read moreMis Amigos is a GEM. On our first night in Provo we stopped in for dinner. It is not easily spotted from the road, so when you park it can be located in the back left corner. We sat outside at a table and were served delicious chips and salsa. They were so good we ordered some to-go that night and went back during the week to get another order. The margarita was phenomenal, they have local beer on tap, and we had a really great time chatting with the family who owns the restaurant. We hung out for a few hours just chatting and getting recommendations from them, incredibly friendly and funny! I’m a vegetarian and found the veggie burrito to be excellent, my husband got a steak burrito and also enjoyed it. You really can’t beat the quality for the price on Provo. The only thing to note was at the time their card reader didn’t work, so bring cash just in case. You...
Read moreThis is one restaurant in TCI that we alway make sure to visit. They are unfortunately not located in the downtown area therefore a car is required. They are somewhat hidden in a little white plaza off the highway across from the First Caribbean Int'l Bank. The chef is Mexican so the food is very authentic and absolutely delicious. My husband likes to have the chimichanga and I enjoy my lobster quesadillas. The margaritas are absolutely yummy! I'm drooling just thinking about our dinner there. This place is a hidden gem and a must if you can make it there. Don't go on Thursday nights though, it's crazy busy with...
