After a week in TCI we found Mary’s Kitchen when we planned a day of driving. We decided to stop based on the one review this place had which said “why does this place only have one review??” We have eaten out every night here in TCI and had some decent food, but obviously pricey as everyone knows. We had some great food at the Fish Fry too. However, and without a doubt, this was the absolute best food we had on this trip bar none. The atmosphere is in transition, as they told us they are expanding and there is construction under way. It will look great based on what is done so far. They were super busy sending meals out to places who had ordered, obviously a local favorite. It was just friendly and easy. The server told us what they were offering, easy as that. Local, authentic dishes. We both asked for the fried fish, my fiancé cannot eat flour, but they said no problem, and made it without. We had our first fresh green salad since we arrived here, really fresh. The fish came whole, with fried onions, Peas and rice, fried plantain and fresh carrots. Hands down the best fish we have eaten in TCI. The people were all super friendly and everyone chatted with us. We couldn’t finish it all because there was a good sized serving, but we asked to take our plantain with us. Instead, they wrapped up a whole serving of fresh, hot plantain for us to take. All of this with 2 bottles of water for $42!! Honestly this was the most authentic and amazing meal we have had, with the chance to visit with some great local people. If you’re in the mood to get out of the touristy places and want great food, go see them at Mary’s Kitchen, but they are only open for lunch, so don't plan on eating dinner, you will be full. What a simple and...
Read moreThis is what we referred to as a hole in the wall type of spot. No frills, nothing fancy, but the food did not disappoint in anyway the service was very friendly as well. The only reason I gave the atmosphere little mark was because we came at night and there were a bunch of drunks that were a bit loud and obnoxious, but outside of thatyou can’t go wrong with the nice ocean breeze. The food came out on time and it was fresh and essentially seem like something that was prepared by a family member who really loved you. Although I’m used to having a big snapper, this particular red snapper was smaller, but packed with flavor crunchy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside You would think that something as simple as rice and peas would be hard to mess up, but I’ve eaten in Jamaica and I will tell you that these rice and peas will have to be top five on my list of rice and peas from around the world. The plantains were cooked to perfection, and the steamed veggies were not soggy or over steamed and not overly seasoned. My only complaint about the food itself was that I wish I would’ve ordered two plates because when I was done, I felt like I needed more. This will be our go to spot whenever we were in Turks and Caicos for dinner or lunch. Another thing about this place that menu tends to change every day so what you had yesterday might not be available today. This is just another hidden gym in the area that most people will not go to because of the looks, but if you can look past that, it’s probably one of the best places to eat in the area definitely better than the place. Five minutes away that is...

The vibrant, friendly energy of the place is exactly what you’d hope for in a beachside spot, with good music, cold drinks, and welcoming staff that make you feel like part of the family.
I tried the stew pork with rice and peas, and it was nothing short of satisfying. The pork was tender, flavorful, and slow-cooked to perfection, while the rice and peas were well-seasoned, complementing the dish beautifully. The flavors were rich and authentic, giving you that true taste of Caribbean home cooking. What’s even better is how affordable everything is—portions are generous, and the prices are extremely reasonable, making it a great spot for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy quality food without breaking the bank.
