Graceway Smart — Local services in Providenciales

Today I want to take the time out to recognize a staff whom I think is unbelievably Amazing!! His name is Danny and he works in the produce department.

Yesterday I went to IGA and tried to purchase three whole fruit baskets, I was informed that the person or persons who make this item is not in today so I should come back tomorrow. Today I went back to IGA try again to purchase these three fruit baskets, again I was unsuccessful and was informed they could not do it because the person was still not in. I felt that they did not make any effort to really try and get me these fruit baskets, so I went down to Smart where I asked the Security Tony “how can I get a whole fruit basket” He was so nice to take me to Danny the lifesaver.

Danny then informed me that he don’t normally make hold fruit baskets, but he could always go and check with the deli for a platter and see if he could make something to help me out seeing my needs. After picking up all the fruits for the baskets from the shelf I informed him that I will wait around in the store until he was finished, about two minutes later he came and informed me that unfortunately there was no container in the deli to make the baskets. However he didn’t just stop there, he said maybe I could find containers at IGA so that I could fulfill your request. Without hesitation he said give me half an hour I’ll go to IGA get the baskets and make you these fruit platters. I was so surprise I couldn’t contain.. I have never dreamt that I would receive such service in a supermarket.

Today I think I am one of the happiest customer alive and for this cause I will continue to shop with smart... I think Danny is a shining star and should be recognized for the shining star that he is.

The store is well maintained and well organized. Like any professional grocery store, the isles are clearly labeled and organized in a way that takes the stress out of shopping. There's a small deli section has a great variety of meals for those in need of a grab and go meal for lunch, and in my honest opinion the meals are DELICIOUS. Another small thing that makes a great deal of difference is that they have different sized trolleys, the normal one and a mini for those just grabbing a few groceries that may be a little too heavy the grocery basket. My only issues is towards some of the employees. There is a great inconsistency in the attitudes. Some greet and smile, others seem to dislike their jobs. But like stated before, it's not all, just few. Otherwise this...

If you visiting from the states expect groceries to be more pricey here (we were aware it was going to be more expensive due to everything having to be imported).

There were people out front asking for money when we walked up. They have security there at the entrance so that made me feel a bit better.

Produce wasn’t the best but it was fine for what we needed. We were expecting to get some alcohol for our villa but decided against it as it was very expensive, even for the local beer. 6 pack of local beer was $16. Ended up spending $198 just for two meals worth of food, water, and 4 pieces of fruit.
