Flamingoz Joint — Restaurant in Mpigi

Unfortunately we had a bad experience at Flamingoz. As the other reviews mention, they will try rip off tourists when paying the bill. We ordered two sparkling waters and a Rolex. When we went to pay, they said that the sparkling waters were 10,000 shillings each (which is a very high amount). We checked the menu and the sparkling water was not listed, but the other drinks (sodas etc) were 3,000 each. Our guide said that was way too much but the waiters wouldn’t change their minds and were all looking at each other and saying the price. Our guide went up and asked for the boss. I ordered a vegetarian salad, I asked several times to the waiter what their was in it for 25 000 shillings, he told me it would be like on the picture so I ordered it. After 20 minutes of waiting, I had the "salad" which was just few vegetables cut in a plate. What a disappointment. I also ordered fried cassave which was very dried. No sauce with it like on the picture in the menu. Over all I had a bad experience. However my friends orders from already made food were satisfied.
