I'm sad that I have to write this second review, this time, negative. This was my favorite place around the train station where I spent my time before my next train indulging in a great food and atmosphere. I was always staying there in between my trains. But yesterday it was very bad experience. When I took my usual lunch offer - white ramen and spinach salad, I immediately felt that there was something weird about that cottage cheese in the salad. But I didn't trust my intuition, I squeezed in it lemon to avoid the weird taste and finished it. Well, it ended in bad consequences already after some 30 min. I got really sick. I told to the staff that they should take care and not give out that spinach salad as there is something bad. And here comes the bad part - their reaction. They said that it's definitely not their fault and it must be me. I said that I was not telling it to them to avoid paying or something. I simply wanted to warn them that something was wrong. Well, I was treated as if I was that "something wrong". No apologies, no concerns, nothing. Really sad. I won't go...
Read moreFood tastes like real Japanese, in serving sizes like real Asian. I've eaten at the one on Kreshchatik weekly for two years, and twice at the one behind Vokzalna railway station. As far as I can tell, no server is responsible for a single section. When everyone looks after the entire dining room, no one really looks after it. Today, I entered and deliberately sat next to the servery to be sure of not being forgotten. Fifteen minutes of looking at the menu later, I had to flag someone down. This has happened so often that I decided to write about it. It's not hard to create service processes. The tasty food gets let down by the...
Read moreNice place. I went there to kill some time bonfire my train departs, it was a middle of a weekday so I got their about $6 lunch offer, which includes ramen with brassieres veal, simple salmon roll and a hibiscus tea.
Ramen was very good. Even though I’m not a big fan of noodles I’ve finished it all. Roll was done right. As I’ve mentioned it was a simple one, but I do admire simple food. Hibiscus tea is just a hibiscus tea, you know…
Service was fast. Not too nice but just a right amount of nice.
I’ll likely...
