In Amoritalia, it’s Italia!
Briefly, WOW! This is our X times…Yes, we repeated our visit many times so that we stopped counting them :)
Truly we had a great Italian night last week, with notable touches from the famous Sicily and Rome cuisines.
For note, this is my second visit to the restaurant, as the first one was with the full family back in April. This time, we were a group of three, so we had w better chance to focus and try variety of delicious orders.
To start, I must pass the high appreciation to the owner and his dedicated family (wife and daughter), for the warm welcoming, regular oversight and regular customer check ins.
Special thanks must go in favor of the Chef (a family member) for his energy, professional touches and food preparation to the highest standard, using quality ingredients and generating tasty recipe.
Another group of thanks should also go to the active service, the waitress.
The overall collaborative efforts among the family members and the supporting teams, indeed formulated an outstanding Italian food experience and provided us with a unique chance to live an authentic Italian dining like those we had in Italy. In this regard, many of Italian restaurants operating locally in UAE don’t have such a family working model, to the best of my memory.
In my humble opinion and during a very short period, I see that they succeeded to be the best Italian restaurant in Abu Dhabi while being highly competitive with the top rated and old timers leading Italian restaurants in Dubai.
For note, the displayed photos show what we ordered and tried to out liking in that night. In my earlier visit, we tried the majority of the menu. Lately, the quality got even better.
Before departing, it’s highly recommend to end the course with the apple tart, the sweetness of which was very moderate and the taste was truly delicious, just like mom’s home style.
More important, to have you coffee cup and enjoy the famous Napoli coffee, which is extracted via old fashion, the pump approach.
As normal for any restaurant, the challenge is to sustain the high level of customer attention, fast service, high quality ingredients, with watching the market for changes and emerging competitors.
As understood, continuous improvements are on the plan and we remain eager to enjoy those upcoming plus points.
Again, thanks to the family operating this restaurant and to those behind-the-scene hardworking...
Read moreI have recently visited Abu Dhabi and the main issue as an Italian when traveling is always where and what food to eat. When I booked the trip I came across this lovely Italian restaurant that wasn’t far from where I ended up staying and I felt like I had to give it a go. This place felt so authentic that I felt like I wasn’t far from my hometown, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, and above all the food was everything that you could hope for and even more. Their Carbonara was creamy, rich and perfectly balanced, it had beef instead of the traditional guanciale for accommodating the local cuisine but if they hadn’t told me I never would have guessed, it was crispy and tasted just like the real thing and I loved it so much. I also had the chance to try their pizzas and they were absolutely delicious, they were large and airy with a light but crispy crust and they were topped with the most juicy mozzarella and tomato sauce, both the Diavola and the Bufalina were to die for. I finally had desserts and tried the Panna cotta, which was amazingly prepared, it was light, fresh and the sweetness of the cream was perfectly balanced by the slight tartness of the berry sauce, i loved every single bite of it. Above all thought was the Tiramisu, when I tell you this was one of the best if not the best Tiramisu I had in my entire life I really mean it, it was light and creamy, it was just the perfect amount of sweetness and the coffee on top made everything perfect, I swear you have to try it no matter what. The cherry on top of the cake was the service that made me feel at home from start to finish, they were able to accomodate everything and were super friendly. If you’re looking for somewhere warm, welcoming and a place where to eat authentic Italian food, AmorItalia ristorante is perfect. Highly recommended, I loved every...
Read moreI visited Amore Restaurant Italian in Phuket Old Town with my family, hoping for a decent Italian meal, but unfortunately, the experience was completely disappointing on every level: rude treatment, lack of respect, poor hygiene, and questionable food quality.
We politely asked about the ingredients of some dishes, simply because we do not eat pork for religious reasons. Instead of receiving a respectful answer, the owner responded with clear frustration and told us to leave the restaurant in a loud and aggressive manner — even though we spoke very respectfully and kindly.
To make things worse, we observed her speaking in the same disrespectful, loud tone to other customers as well. It seems this kind of rude behavior is normal in this place, which is unacceptable for a restaurant that caters to international tourists.
As for the food — it was a disaster. A few hours after eating, I had severe stomach pain, which made me question the cleanliness and freshness of the ingredients.
But the most upsetting part is that the restaurant clearly shows no respect or sensitivity toward Muslim dietary needs. If you’re a Muslim or someone who avoids pork for any reason, don’t expect understanding or proper customer service here. This kind of attitude is completely inappropriate in a country like Thailand, known for its hospitality and respect for different cultures.
I’m not writing this review out of anger alone — I’m writing it to warn others. Don’t waste your time or money in a place that fails to meet even the basic standards of cleanliness, food quality, and human decency. Phuket has many excellent restaurants that serve delicious food with kind service. Sadly, this restaurant is...
