•Nice Japanese restaurant at Al Bandar area. From the moment walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, all the girls are so kind and because of that I think that the service is the highlight here. Went on a Thursday evening and the place was full, probably because of the Unlimited Sushi Night, with the special buffet “all you can eat”.
•The location is good, near to the water and with bay view. Easy to find, near to other restaurants in Al Bandar. There’s a underground paid parking garage, when I went wasn’t easy to find a spot, very crowded, because it’s a visitor and residential garage.
•We decided to try the Sushi Night Buffet because was our first time here, tried one regular option just with the buffet (169aed/person) and the special option with fresh sashimi, crayfish and more (229aed/person), both packages includes unlimited buffet, unlimited soft beverages and a dessert. But honestly, we didn’t like it the food, the rice texture it’s weird (too crumbly) and the warm option was cold, for example. There’s just a few options on buffet, no flavorful food, so doesn’t worth. [prices from June/24]
•The restaurant was a recommendation so we went with a high expectation, but the flavors didn't captivate us and probably we’ll not come back, despite the excellent service and ambiance.

Read moreDesert Lotus is a hidden gem in the heart of Al Bandar, Abu Dhabi. I had the pleasure of dining there recently, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's ambiance is serene and authentically Thai, with beautiful decor that immediately transports you to Thailand.
The food at Desert Lotus is nothing short of exquisite. I tried their Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Tom Yum Soup, and each dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The ingredients were fresh, and the spices were perfectly balanced, creating a symphony of tastes that left me craving for more.
The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and well-versed in the menu, making excellent recommendations. They ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch.
Dessert at Desert Lotus was a delightful surprise. The Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Iced Tea were the perfect sweet endings to our meal.
Overall, Desert Lotus is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Thai cuisine in Abu Dhabi. The combination of exceptional food, welcoming ambiance, and attentive service makes it a standout dining destination. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu.
A special thanks to the owner BUA and she is the chef in the restaurant, definitely no other competitor in Thai found...
Read moreAs an Thai cuisine enthusiast, I would state that this is the best Thai cuisine in all of U.A.E. If you are looking for Thai cuisine that is close to original, this would be the place. The ambience was amazing and the service exceeded any expectation. Drinks never went empty. Dirty plate were removed and replaced with clean ones. The staff was amazing at ensuring that we felt at home. I have never experienced this superb style of service, even in any previous 5 star restaurant that I have ever eaten at; in any country! Being half Korean I always eat sashimi when I visit Korea. The sashimi was just as fresh in this oasis in the middle of the desert. You can tell the shrimp is imported and the fish is fresh. This place was so amazing I ordered many various dishes (702 aed for 2 people) and they all tasted excellent! The menu is small and any food lover will agree that when a menu is small, it means that they put passion into what they make and that the dish is perfected. The owner even greeted us with a smile and she is an amazing woman who has passion in what she does. Too many places now care about quantity over quality, and this place cares about quality and quality only. You can taste it in the food. Excellent and will visit again! Thanks for an...
