I’ve been a loyal customer of Jawahar for the past 4 months, regularly ordering takeaway meals for my family. The food has always been phenomenal—flavourful, consistent, and among the best Persian cuisine available locally.
Today, I decided to dine in for the first time with my younger daughter, particularly as I noticed Jawahar was listed on the Entertainer app and thought it would be a nice opportunity to use my first voucher.
Unfortunately, while the food lived up to its usual high standards, the customer service left much to be desired.
At the time of requesting the bill, I informed the staff that I wished to redeem my Entertainer voucher, which I had followed according to the standard terms and conditions. I was approached by a gentleman claiming to be the new manager, who informed me that I could not use the voucher because I had ordered one premium main course and one regular main course. I explained that I was happy to pay for the more expensive item and expected to redeem the voucher against the standard main course, as per the offer’s intent.
The conversation began to draw attention, so I politely asked to speak with him privately. He stated that their internal policy had changed three months ago and that I should have informed the staff upon arrival that I intended to use Entertainer. I responded that this requirement is not reflected in the Entertainer terms and that, as a regular takeaway customer, this was my first dine-in experience.
The entire exchange became uncomfortable, particularly in front of my daughter and two other guests present. Eventually, the manager agreed—reluctantly—to honour the voucher. However, just as I returned to the table feeling unsettled, a waiter came over and began lecturing me about what I “should have done,” which was completely inappropriate and unnecessary. I reminded him that his role at that point was simply to process the payment.
What was supposed to be a positive first visit to one of my favourite takeout spots turned into a disappointing experience. Jawahar urgently needs to address its approach to customer service. Based on this visit, I won’t be...
Read moreHaving visited the best Iranian restaurant in Abu Dhabi in My view for the second time, I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality.
The highlight of my dining experience was undoubtedly the koobideh, which was a true masterpiece. Moist, succulent, and bursting with flavor, it was a testament to the culinary skills of the chefs. Each bite was a journey through the rich and complex flavors of Iranian cuisine.
Adding to the enchanting ambiance was the evening entertainment—a mesmerizing Sufi night singing performance. The soulful melodies filled the air, transporting diners to another world. It was a perfect complement to the exquisite flavors of the food.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is its attention to detail, including entertainment for the little ones which is accross the path. The well-equipped kids park ensured that even the youngest diners were entertained, allowing parents to relax and enjoy their meal without any worries.
Overall, my dining experience at the best Iranian restaurant in Abu Dhabi was nothing short of magical. From the tasty food to the enchanting ambiance, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable culinary...
Read moreNever in my life, have I received such appalling service. Actually no service. We arrived 30 minutes before iftar. 3 adults and a baby. The restaurant was empty and one waiter showed us to a table next to the pool. We sat there waiting while the staff was preparing food next to us. They all seemed to be busy with one other table. Not even the one that we had previously spoken to gave us a bit of attention. We kept reminding him though that we are there. There were plenty of staff though but none of them managed to bring us even cold water before iftar started. We kept reminding them that it’s time but got ignored. I felt bad as I had chosen the restaurant based on a previous visit where I really liked the food. We then told them that we‘d leave as we were thirsty and hungry after a long fast. The supervisor apologized and tried to arrange food for us quickly. It took too long though so we left the restaurant without eating. Very very disappointing. Will...
