This review has long been overdue so with this opportunity I have to tell that everyone should at least visit the Greek Boys in person to get that legitimate “Mom & Pop” feel that you get abroad as it is lacking in Ajman let alone the UAE.
Parking and location: perfect, easy to find and no worries about paying for parking is it in a mini mall with parking readily available, a big improvement over the previous location, which was in the corniche and not as ideal, it is also much quieter and less hectic than at the corniche as it’s nestled between many universities in the neighborhood.
Atmosphere & Service: A straight 5 out of 5 because you are not going to that same atmosphere in other places guaranteed. You have Greek and son serving you fresh food with their personalities all on show rather than that robotic and heartless feel that you get at a lot of restaurants, they are going to treat you like family and feed you like family, especially with the size of the portions!
Food: A 5/5*. You are not going to get quality Greek food at this price anywhere in the UAE. I recommend starters to get a lamb gyro which is simply divine and fresh. It’s quite a big portion and you are going to make a mess unless you hold on to that gyro extra tight! It’s part of the experience. The chips are cut quite nice and a side that must be ordered without question., not soggy at all.
If you are with friends and family, then you must go with getting some dips for appetizers and the fried calamari and halloumi (which is sourced from Cyprus) just like it’s supposed to be. Dips are nice and if you like something salty the taramasalata is the dip to order but go for a platter of 3 to please everybody in your party.
As for the Asterix I will have to say that what needs improvement is the dessert section of the restaurant. The cheesecake while being sugar free just does not have the texture for a good cheesecake but it will satisfy those who just want something sweet (you will finish it trust me), the Loukoumades is not as crispy as I would like but perhaps chef has improved on the recipe. But you are not going to the Greek Boys for dessert, you are going for souvlaki and gyros. But if you want something sweet to drink then go for the Frappe, cannot go wrong with that.
Something to order if you are not in the mood for gyro and souvlaki? Go for the Greek Macaroni, spiced just right and something that you...

The Greek Boys is not just a restaurant — it’s a revelation. In a region overflowing with replicas and diluted imitations, this place stands alone as a sanctuary of authenticity. Across the entire GCC and Middle East, you will not find another Greek kitchen that so truthfully, so soulfully carries the essence of Greece in every detail.
Here, nothing is outsourced. Nothing is compromised. The hummus is hand-crafted. The bread is baked fresh by their own hands. The ingredients are not just fresh — they are alive with purpose. You taste not only quality, but heritage, integrity, and devotion.
I’ve had gyros in Athens, Thessaloniki, on islands and in mountain villages — and what I tasted here was no less than a direct portal to that original experience. This is not a local adaptation — this is the real gyro, unapologetically true to its roots. It instantly became my benchmark, my standard.
And then comes the cheesecake. Made by the owner himself — not outsourced, not styled for Instagram, but born from a recipe and love that defy category. It’s not dessert — it’s an experience. Beyond language, beyond comparison. You don’t eat it — it happens to you.
Vasilis and his father didn’t just open a restaurant — they carved a doorway to Greece right here in Ajman. For anyone who cares about real food, real craft, and the truth behind flavor, this is a journey worth taking — even from Dubai, or further.
Impeccable service. Uncompromising ingredients. Flavors that demand silence.
This family doesn’t just say “We know our food” — they prove it,...
Read moreThis review is overdue, but I was always going to write it.🙂 We were going to have takeaway for dinner and decided to just pick up tea before that, as we were going to take the tea, we spotted the restaurant “The Greek Boys” and just on the spur of the moment decided to dine in, when we walked in, we were greeted by a very pleasant boy (who just happened to be the Chef’s son 🙂), he explained the menu to us. Then, as we sat down, the Chef came in, greeted us and suggested what to have, as it was our first time trying out Greek food, we decided to go with his suggestions.
We were pleasantly surprised when the food came, as it not only looked good but tasted really good as well. The Salad that was part of the dish was equally good. So, the food got 5 ⭐️s from us.
What happened next, and this was what made the whole experience absolutely unique and enjoyable, was the conversation with the Chef and his Wife, it didn’t feel like we were in a restaurant, it felt like we were having dinner at some friends place. We had a very enjoyable repartee, to point that we didn’t realize how much time had passed.
All in all, I would definitely recommend “The Greek Boys” restaurant to anyone who wants to try out Greek food.
We ordered: The Greek Boys Souvlaki The Greek Boys Prawn Souvlaki The Greek Boys...
