A La Turca — Restaurant in Dubai

A rather disappointing experience and definitely negative first impression considering the expectations for the price. The venue is very spacious and clean, the food variety is up to the 5* standards, however the behavior and service provided by the staff is way below acceptable. Our waiter had difficulties understanding our orders during the entire evening. The really upsetting element was his extremely strong body odor which made the entire experience very disappointing. He had no clue (probably due to the lack of training) how to serve champagne and wine. The waiter served drinks in the wrong order (as per the international etiquette the senior female should be served first, followed by younger female, the senior male and the younger male member of the party), he also had difficulties pouring even portions without dripping the red wine on the table. Before the buffet closed, he approached our table and asked: So you're done? What a way to inform a guest that the restaurant will close soon... Rixos management should be concerned about the lack of cuatomer service - good food can be found anywhere in Dubai, people return for the exceptional service and A La Turca is definitely falling short from the expectations and the...

We had an amazing time at Rixos The Palm Dubai — the resort is stunning, the facilities are top-notch, and the overall experience was everything we hoped for. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible service we received from Jahangeer at the A La Turca buffet restaurant.

Whether it was breakfast or dinner, Jahangeer’s attention to detail was second to none. From perfectly set tables to chilled towels and our drinks always arriving just right, he made every meal feel special. His warm personality and genuine care didn’t go unnoticed.

What stood out even more was the way he engaged with our sons — teaching them a few Arabic words and making them feel right at home. It’s rare to meet someone who combines professionalism with such a personal touch.

Had very high expectations but turned out to be just average. Was wife's bday and decided to spend at a fancy place and selected Rixos. Setting was pretty average and Ac was not even working in the main dining area. We shifted to another table half way through as we were sweating badly without aircon. They Brought the bday cake half way through our main courses and the base cake was barely edible as it was too dry.

Plenty of choices but all very average. Not even great. Desserts were dry pastry options.. Some Turkish sweets were OK. Live grill had just 4 options and the person in charge seemed very less interested.

On a positive note, our server Thu Ya was very polite and helpful. Normally for 230 AED per head, definitely not good value for money. Unlikely we will return... Sorry but not a very pleasant...
