This used to be my favorite branch for many years but NOW words are not enough to describe and express my anger and disappointment! I went to the drive thru around 2:05AM (my order was punched at 2:08) and the guy taking the order through the head phone was so rude and unprofessional and kept nagging YeS, yes mam, not even giving me a minute despite me saying give me a minute please, his attitude is so irritating and he’s has ZERO patience. He made me so angry as he was impatient. I told him there is no one behind me at all, he said there is a sensor, as if this is my first time coming to a drive thru. I’ve been visitng Starbucks and other Drive Thru’s since I can remember. Never dealt with someone with such a horrible customer service! He made me so angry, I drove away to the “pick up” window. He kept answering me back and arguing as if he owned the place, showing ZERO percent of customer service Etiquette! I asked him to leave and called the other barista Albert who was very polite, welcoming and professional and took my order, but the aforementioned guy( who’s name I didn’t catch but I think is of Indian Nationality) is so Unprofessional. Some sort of malaise seems to have set in across Starbucks outlets in the city.
Specific to this outlet ( Al Twar), repeated complaints about the AC levels hasn't elicited an appropriate response. The AC is set to freezing. This is apparently to regulate the temperature inside the takeaway food counter. That's like cooling the house down such that food inside the refrigerator can stay cold. No other outlet seems to have this issue. When customers complain, they are told that Dubai Municipality has asked them to do this. To the best of my knowledge, DM rules stipulate that food temperature has to be regulated. It doesn't say that customers have to be frozen to death. I have customers who look to sit and work here for long hours, cover themselves up in hoodies and jackets.
The staff on duty seem helpless to be able to do anything. I've requested a call back from someone senior within the organization which also seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I tried calling the toll-free number. The IVR wait time was supposed to be 6 minutes. I was on hold for almost 45 minutes and there was no response or a change to the expected wait time.
If I don't hear back from someone quickly enough, I will ensure that I take this to the competent consumer...
Read moreI went to AlTwar branch and I asked if I could get coffee in my own cup. The lady said that’s fine. Then I asked her to put the rest of the coffee in a takeaway cup. She gave me the coffee and milk in two separate cups, and I had to mix it by myself. Am I the barista ? should I have to mix it by myself?
Again she took it from me and give it me back without latte art, I asked why, and she said it would take time and I should come inside for the art.
I went around and come back again in the line. There was A man with a green eyes spoke to me rudely and with a bad attitude, telling me to order a flat white next time. I thought he was recommending another coffee, but it turns out he was saying that because they didn't want to take extra time.
From the beginning, they accepted my request to use my own cup, and as a customer, I expected better service. If they had told me they couldn't do it, I would have understood. I hope the manager takes action in this matter, because next time I will report it on X app. The coffe really...
