I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service and overall experience my companions and I had at your restaurant today.
Upon entering, we were met with a crowded and chaotic environment where it took considerable effort to get someone to take our order. Even after placing the order, we were blatantly ignored for around 45 minutes before any food was brought to our table, which was disappointingly cold.
When we raised our concerns to the manager, Anil, he apologized profusely but failed to take any tangible steps to rectify the situation. It was evident that the staff were overwhelmed, with a focus on fulfilling online orders rather than attending to the in-house customers, which resulted in a subpar dining experience for us.
Adding to our disappointment, the portion sizes did not align with the advertised reels and the quality of food did not meet our expectations.
Despite the waiter's explanation of the crowded nature of the restaurant, this does not excuse the significant lapse in service and the overall poor dining experience we encountered.
Unfortunately, this experience has left a lasting negative impression, and we have decided that we will not be returning to your establishment in the future. Furthermore, we cannot in good conscience recommend your restaurant to others based on this regrettable encounter.
I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing measures to ensure that such experiences are not repeated...
Read moreThe restaurant near Al Qusais Metro station in Al Qusais 2 generally positive Google reviews. Ample parking at the back avoids rush in the front, a significant advantage for those arriving by car.
Appreciate the restaurant's tasty Arabic food at reasonable prices compared to other Arabic food restaurants. The value for money makes it a popular choice among diners.
Seating is plentiful outside, but it may not be suitable during the summer months. Inside, seating is limited, leading to potential waits, especially during peak hours.
One drawback mentioned in reviews is the cramped shared handwashing area for males and females, which might not be ideal.
The limited space indoors can create a loud environment, affecting the overall dining experience.
On a positive note, service is good with sufficient staff attending to customers' needs.
Regarding the food, opinions vary.I was disappointed with the mixed grill portion, suggesting inconsistent quality. However, the 1m Shawarma is generously satisfying and well-liked.
The restaurant offers tasty Arabic cuisine at reasonable prices. However, the limited indoor seating, cramped handwashing area, and potential noise issues might be drawbacks for some patrons. Considering multiple reviews and individual preferences is recommended before deciding...
Read moreHappened to be there on the third day as it is close to my residence and I was super excited about it , unfortunately the taste is nothing Arabic at all ..
This would be considered good Arabic food in the Indian subcontinent , however , the taste is not appealing to connoisseurs of true Levant cuisine what Sultan Al Arab claims to serve .
The serving staff were from Algeria, and unfortunately did not speak English, whereas the majority of clients were from the Indian subcontinent and could not converse in "Algerian" Arabic. They were super friendly and very hospitable though but clearly did not have experience in the f & b / service industry.
The Shawarma plate had the pickles directly on it, and the water from the pickle crept into the Shawarma through the wrapping paper and made the Shawarma soggy . Also the mix Grill was very dry and tasteless and it is subjective to one's personal preferences.
There's a lot of competition in the area with traditional Arabic / Levant cuisine and there's a lot of room for improvement .
Wish them well in the future and if they can change the work on the taste and the little initial niggles of starting a new restaurant in the area, they will surely...
