Sorry for the long review, One of the worst customer care service at this level with lying staff members especially Joshua Gunter the assistant manager and Abdullah the waiter. I booked in advance for my wife’s surprise birthday for a big group with kids and paid a deposit as instructed. I was very specific about having an outdoor seating at 2.00pm with 2 separate tables for 14 adults and kids (6 increased to 10). Joshua the assistant manager called me 2 days ahead trying to persuade me for an indoor seating with a view for faster service but I specifically told him I have no problem with slow service as long as we are sitting outside and we agreed. On the day I normally arrived later with my wife than the group as it a surprise for her to find the seating arrangement indoors. When I spoke to Joshua he told me that the group arrived late so he couldn’t hold the seating outside and when I asked about the indoor view he said that I turned it down so he didn’t arrange it, it turned out Joshua is lying as the group started to arrive 2.02pm and not after 2.30 as he said and that the setup was made inside from the beginning. When I asked to talk to him or his manger again when I found out, they referred me to Abdullah who I later recognised as a waiter not a manager as I asked. When talking to him, he told me sitting indoor was inevitable (proving Joshua was lying ) because of the kids who might go to the outside smoking area and when I asked why wasn’t this clarified during the booking a week ago or 2 days ago when Joshua called he had no answer (that is beside that there were 3 or 4 tables with kids outside) Later Abdallah started complaining about the kids noise (they were noisy tbh but that’s why we wanted an outdoor seating so they would be playing around the beach area and avoid the noise) so I was clear that this is the situation they created and they have to deal with it, but it seems he didn’t like it. In short, they first lied about a possibility for an outdoor seating with kids, then they lied about arranging the table outdoor to start with, then they lied about the group arriving time and holding the table then complained about the situation they created, then never apologised for anything. Please be extra cautious dealing with these guys and especially their assistant manger Joshua Gunter who didn’t say a single honest word and was constantly lying to get out of the responsibility. We visited this beach restaurant expecting a relaxed atmosphere with reasonably priced street food, but we left feeling disappointed.
First, the prices are simply excessive: 115 AED for a medium pizza with barely any toppings, 125 AED for a souvlaki that comes in a very basic portion… At these prices, one would expect either outstanding quality or more generous servings.
Moreover, the overall experience does not justify the cost. Even the poolside restaurants offer a better value for money. What’s even more frustrating is how complicated it is to access the Anantara Nanjai package, despite already paying 995 AED for what should be a premium experience.
Suggested Improvements: Better Value for Money– Either lower the prices or improve portion sizes and quality. Simplify Package Access – Make it easier for guests who have already paid for premium experiences to enjoy the offerings without unnecessary restrictions. Reposition the Concept – If it’s marketed as beach house, the pricing should reflect that. Otherwise, rebrand it as a high-end dining option with the corresponding quality.

The service was good. The staff were professional and friendly. However they could use a little extra training on communication etiquette as every customer is very different.
The ambience. The area. The hotel. The view. The music. All GREAT.
Food taste was good. I have one comment for the chef though. Some of us asked for the wagyu meat to be well-done (including me). It seems like either the chef forgot it for a few extra muns on the bbq, or his definition of well-done is to burn it.. from the outside the meat was black as if it was barbecued by a teenager. I always order my meat well-done, and I never had such an issue where someone burnt it (especially not at a restaurant like this). Still tasted good but could have been wonderful.
Prices are actually perfect and relatively affordable considering where it's located.
Overall: Loved it. I highly recommend visiting it at least once. Almost gave a 5-star rating, but there are a few minor things to improve on. Other than that the restaurant is...
