Tikka Tonight has once again demonstrated its poor customer service. I took my office colleagues to TT yesterday for lunch, praising it as the best Pakistani restaurant. We ordered three half-mix platters, but the platters were served without the ribs. When I asked about the missing ribs, the staff casually responded that they had substituted them with an extra chapli kabab because the ribs were unavailable. I was surprised and asked why they hadn’t informed me beforehand. Their response was simply, “It was finished, sir, so we gave you an extra chapli kabab.”
To avoid further embarrassment in front of my colleagues, I decided not to argue. Then, I noticed there was no hummus with the platters. When I inquired about it, they said it was also finished and casually offered to bring daal mash instead. This lack of communication and care is unacceptable. It’s disappointing to promote TT as the best restaurant in town, only to experience such poor service and lack of professionalism. After this experience, I’ll likely avoid dining there...
Read moreI visited this restaurant yesterday, and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was truly authentic Pakistani cuisine, full of rich flavors and freshness. We tried the Chicken Makhani Handi, Mutton Dum Curry, Chapli Kebab, and Garlic Naan — every dish was absolutely top-notch.
The Chapli Kebab stood out the most; it was fresh, juicy, and bursting with flavor — honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The Garlic Naan was also served fresh and paired perfectly with the curries.
Service-wise, there was practically no waiting time. Our food arrived within about 15 minutes, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The family seating area was comfortable, and I really appreciated how well the restaurant maintains its cleanliness and neatness.
Another plus point is that the restaurant stays open until 11 pm, making it a great option for late dine-ins.
Overall, the food was tasty, fresh, and satisfying. Definitely a place...
Read moreChicken tikka masala is served in restaurants around the world,15 including Indian restaurants in Britain and North America. According to a 2012 survey of 2,000 people in Britain, it was the country's second-most popular foreign dish to cook, after Chinese stir fry.[17]
In 2001, British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook mentioned the dish in a speech acclaiming the benefits of Britain's multiculturalism, declaring:
Chicken tikka masala is now a true British national dish, not only because it is the most popular, but because it is a perfect illustration of the way Britain absorbs and adapts external influences. Chicken tikka is an Indian dish. The masala sauce was added to satisfy the desire of British people to have their meat served in gravy.
Try mix platter. Its good for a family of 4. Slightly spicy but kebabs are juicy. Prices vary for different outlets. Worth giving a try. Only disadvantage is payment is cash only. Credit cards...
