I asked for the late items, fries and hummus, both appetizers and usually come first, to be canceled since I’m late for something and I must leave. They brought in the fries which I asked to be for takeaway since it’s ready and I can eat it in the car. When the bill came tried to charge me for the hummus, I asked to cancel only the hummus and they took another 5 minutes to redo my receipt. Once it was done we waited another 5 minutes for the fries that were placed on our table and when we asked why it was taking so long they said they’re making new fries, I had paid for those fries and they were on our table. Then they gave me cold fries after saying they gave us new fries, very confusing and a lie. I really wanted to leave at this point even without my paid fries but the manager finally came to talk to us about this making me even more late to my personal business. I did not want to speak to the manager, I did not care about the fries or the poor service, I just wanted to leave but he even followed us out.
Very poor customer service, doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I was easily made late 15 minutes just to take some fries that were ready on our...
Read moreOrdered via Talabat. I had a chicken Shwerma, Sheesh Tawook sandwich and half charcoal grilled chicken. The sandwiches were very underwhelming, the bread was stale and the chicken tasted old like it has been sitting there for few hours.
As for the half grilled chicken, it was coated with a very weird gamy coating? I couldn’t distinguish it but it was definitely something rubbed on it before grilling that had a very strong sour burned taste.
The food i tried is not terrible but definitely below average. Maybe I was unlucky with all my 3 choices as I can see confusing 5 star reviews knowing a levantine pallet would not be very happy the quality. Talabat review of currently 3.5 more reflects my experience so maybe the in-dining experience is significantly better than their delivery. Major work needs to be done...
Read moreHad a really disappointing breakfast experience! There were five of us—my husband, me, and our three kids—but not everyone was eating. I told the waiter right away that we wanted the all-you-can-eat breakfast just for the ones who were eating (three of us) and even mentioned we only needed three cups for tea.
When the bill came, the waiter said our order didn’t count for the all-you-can-eat deal because there’s apparently a minimum number of people required—first he said five, then changed it to four. This was never mentioned before, even though I made it clear not everyone was eating. Felt pretty cheated, to be honest.
Safe to say, this will be the last time we ever visit an Allo Beirut...
