We went here for my sons 2nd birthday as just wanted a low key relaxing meal..... we waited 30 mins for our meal and the place wasn't busy at all. More frustrating was that there were plenty of staff but they all seemed to be standing around with very little to do. It was clear when our food arrived that it had been sitting for a while as it was cold. My son had the pizza which was tasty.... however there was only cheese and sauce on a very small part of it in the middle. My daughters kids meal of fish fingers looked pretty grim on the plate and the fish fingers were limp and soggy. My burger was the worst of all as it literally tasted like a rustlers burger and the bottom burger was very undercooked. I had 2 bites from the burger and left the remainder. When the staff cleared our plates they asked if I was finished and I advised I was disappointed with the email as the burger tasted really bad.... to which the waitress replied "okay, no worries" and walked away..... It's a real shame as their breakfasts are usually quite nice, but based on this experience I will never return again.

We recently hosted our child’s 7th birthday party the Buckie Farm pizza-making, and it was nothing short of fantastic from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and stress-free. Everything was clearly explained, and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating right from the first enquiry. The party organizer was absolutely brilliant with the kids, fun, engaging, and clearly experienced. They knew exactly how to keep the children entertained while teaching them how to make their own pizzas. The kids loved it. The price was very reasonable for everything which included the pizza making, aprons, coloring in activities, ice cream and party bags. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a different way to celebrate a birthday.

Absolutely disgusting experience at this place. It was shameful & unacceptable beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in my life!!!!

On the 11th March this year I visited Aberdeen for the first time. I had travelled over 400 miles and driven for 8 hours with my family to attend a family funeral. We were tired and very hungry. We arrived here somewhere around 9:30pm Ish... there was 6 of us and we asked on arrival if they were still serving carvery. They had advised us they were and we proceeded to pay for all but my younger brother who is vegan so he just ordered chips as there was not really any vegan options.

When we were ordering drinks we could hear a lot of shouting & slamming from in the kitchen (sounded very angry & loud) but we laughed & just assumed it’s was the Scottish way as the accent was quite broad and we couldn’t make out what was being said. (We thought it was banter but later found out he was shouting because he had to serve us)

When we went to the other side of the bar to collect our food the guy who came out to serve us was very rude. Never spoke a word.. just gestured towards the food in a “what u having?” Kind of way, Made no eye contact, placed all our plates on the sides even when we held our hand to revive the plates from him. My older brother asked if there were any condiments and this is where it got nasty. The chef came out & started shouting asking if he realises what time it was.. said he didn’t have time to get sauce for anyone. After I asked him why he was being rude and if there was a problem he said that ‘we’ were his problem & I was disrespecting him & his time by being there & asking him to get stupid sauce. I’d said all we asked for was mint for my brother & cranberry for me... oooh but he told me he could get the cranberry. He slammed the door behind him and shouting loud enough so we could hear him he hocked so loudly and spat in my sauce... brought it out to me with the biggest smile on his face and said “special for you!!” I have never been so disgusted in my life!!!

My older brother (who lives here) was angry... of course!! He asked the chef what was going on... what was the problem. The chef started squaring up to my brother ready to fight. There was a full on confrontation ..and at this point NONE of the other staff (mainly from the kitchen) did or said anything. This guy was huge and seemingly ready for a fight. He racially abused my brother first then all of us as a family (things was said that I will not repeat on here) There was a female staff member who witnessed both the altercation and the verbal abuse. She shook her head in disbelief but the chef was so irate at this point she was at a loss of how to deal with him. He was still walking around shouting abuse and slamming things around for the entire time of us being there. The female staff member refunded us all our meal & drinks costs and apologised repeatedly. She hung her head & looked embarrassed by his behaviour but admittedly if I was in her shoes I would have crawled up my own ‘you know what’ ... he was out of control & it was out of her hands.

The young man working behind the bar seemed more pro active with it all... he was not only disgusted by the chefs attitude but he was angered by the racism too. He assured me he was going to get him dealt with and explained how angry he was for us that we’d had to deal with such a reception. They gave us the managers name & number & told us to ring the next day but that very morning we were laying my brothers wife to rest. Calling the pub and re living what we experience that night was the last thing we wanted to deal with.

I hope the guy has been sacked!! and management find a way of vetting your staff before employment.

We all know racism sadly exists but for someone to react like this in public and in his own place of employment ... he can’t be all the...

Enjoyed the pizza, fresh and lovely. Had a dog, had phoned in advance to ensure was allowed. On arrival told lounge only, no signs, no direction, no help to decipher where the lounge ended and the restaurant began, as a result I sat in wrong area. There was one really pleasant and friendly bar staff, sadly she was mainly working through in the bar area that was very busy , so didn’t see her much. However she was kind enough to bring my dog some water. The rest of the staff were at best sullen verging on rude. I work in the public sector and if I treated people this way, I hope someone would pull me up for it. The bar person in the black shirt, who I presume was in charge had zero people skills. Customers understand you are busy pouring a drinks order, but ignoring them is just not acceptable. A smile, or I’ll just be with you would surely be normal, instead I was just ignored. Just looked at when she was free, no preamble ‘what can I get you etc, or even just hi! Just woeful, if this is how role modelling happens then I’m not surprised the other two staff (except the one working in the bar) were verging on rude and generally just surly.

Don’t even even start me on the toilets, they certainly wouldn’t pass a health and safety inspection. Run down, dirty, one of the 4 or 5 cubicles had toilet roll , but it was completely choked, quite frankly disgusting. The pizza was good though one star for that. I realise I could have complained at the time, however given the service was so poor, it would have been a waste of time, maybe a bit of retraining about customer service would be helpful, or even if the staff could imagine what service they would like. The visit was an endurance rather than an...

Updated review 24/8/24 : went tonight, first thing I heard walking in was someone getting a refund, never a good start, second was another couple saying "well just go to dtce farm" should have taken there advice... Ordered on the app as usual. 15 minutes for drinks to arrive, then food 5 mins later, both incorrect and the chips were cremated, tried to get the waitresses attention and she shouted "it's just coming" as she scuttled passed, she came back about 5 minutes later with a camembert, I asked what it was as we hadn't ordered it and also to talk about my initial complaint when I had tried to get her attention 5 minutes previous. She went and got the manageress, who came over asking if everything was ok with out meal... Clearly not being the waitress just told you I'd complained... 25 minutes from ordering, 2 out of 3 mains had arrived and we're inedible, but my daughter's main hadn't arrived (this is apparently the camembert) , they had no recorded of her ordering Mac and cheese with a side of chicken bites... Got a refund for the scampi, then came back with my daughter's Mac cheese, which had clearly been microwaved in a rush, no dough balls on the side like there was supposed to be and the side portion of chips, which were also overdone to the point of inedible, in the end asked for a full refund, won't be back in a hurry. Absolute shambles from start to finish! Oh and another thing... Cash refund for a card paid app order... As "it takes 3 days to go back into your card, cash is easier as I've done it now" as if people's aren't used to a 3-5 days for a card refund......
