Murdos Bar — Restaurant in Aberdeen City

Very slow service at the bar but meals arrived reasonably quick. Gammon was good but a bit greasy and could have been done with a steak knife rather than normal knife as it was harder to cut. All day breakfast was good value for money but bacon was only fit for soling your shoe! Chicken Korma was excellent. Now to the Festive burger, well what can I say...a bigger let down than a flat tyre on a cold frosty morning. Two small burgers which had been shown the burger sauce and the cheese on a very dry bun, The Pig in blanket was okay, even though it was just a mouthful and the cranberry sauce(once we got it after having to ask the server again for it) was fine, it included a handful of chips and they forgot the streaky bacon on top. This is priced at £9.49 and is a total total rip off. We did point all this out to our server and was tol.."I'll let them know".....we gave up and left after waiting 15 minutes for a response. All in all the food was good with the obvious exception of the Festive Burger(Avoid it at all costs!!) and you do get a brilliant pint of Tenants!!!.... Since posting this review I must admit everything negative I may have said is history. Service is quick and friendly. food is great no matter what you order and my wife Christine and our friends Shirley and Alex love Thursday night Bingo with Dave at the helm. Prize money is good and there is also Play Your Cards Right as well as raffles and a brilliant atmosphere. If you enjoy good food. a few games of bingo, head to Murdos every Thursday, bingo starts 7:30 prompt,,,,Well done to all the staff especially Ali who looks after us...

When we arrived we were directed to a beautifully decorated table with party hats and Christmas crackers supplied. There were 15 people in our group and every single person was delighted with, what can only be described as "the best Christmas lunch we've had in a very long time" and at "a very reasonable price!" Every single plate was presented beautifully, and tasted like a 'good plate of food' SHOULD taste. (I don't usually eat sprouts but they were so tasty that I ate 3!) The portions were generous without being over flowing. The service was completely faultless. Alison (the lady who served all of us), was polite, engaging, understanding, calm and patient. My daughter and myself went there tonight at 5.45pm. I ordered 2 meals and drinks. My daughters meal arrived but not mine bearing in mind we both ordered the same. I went and asked where my meal was, I was then accused of shouting which I wasn't, you would definitely know if I was shouting. He told me the kitchen was backed up. too which I replied if two meals were ordered at the same time you expect them to come together to eat together. I was told my meal would be 2 mins. My daughter had finished hers and my meal still hadn't appeared. At 6.50 I asked for a refund which I got for my meal. No apology I said was I forgotten about as everyone else had been that had ordered after me had been served. His reply was aye ok. Not...
