I’ve just attended the Danish Baking course , taught by Keith, it was fantastic. We made 2 loaves and some sweet buns which are all delicious. Keith made the experience relaxed and fun but was very informative. Drinks and delicious pastries were served, as well as a platter, including some danish type bread and cheese. Keith was happy to answer all our baking questions while the loaves were baking. A fantastic morning, would thoroughly recommend it.

IMHO they bake best bread in 50miles radius. They got an amazing selection of different rolls and bread. And on the top of that they make great cooked breekfast, so if you are ever in Crich, pop in and you will not regret it!

I visited The Loaf on Saturday 21st January. We had seen reviews online and had been looking forward to visiting for breakfast/brunch. On arrival unfortunately no tables were available so we elected to wait inside for seating to become vacant. There is a seat in the corner of the shop adjacent to the counter that you can use as you wait and the friendly shop assistant asked us would we like a drink as we wait, we took her up on the offer and noticing that only one cheddar and stout sourdough loaf was left on the shelf asked would it be possible for them to remove it from sale and hold it behind the counter until we had eaten and was leaving? Once again the assistant was happy to help. Fortunately we did not have to wait long (approximately 5 minutes) for a table to become vacant. The menu had numerous delicious sounding dishes available and between the three of us we elected to have the rarebit and poached egg, avocado and grilled halloumi and creamy garlic mushrooms all of which were served on toasted sourdough. The food was delicious and all of us enjoyed what we had ordered, the quality of the tea and coffee was also fantastic and the service was excellent throughout. In addition to the bread, pastries and cakes the bakery also has some fantastic looking preserves and other deli items for sale. I would definitely recommend visiting this establishment if you are in the area. Thank you for our delicious brunch and see you next time we are...

Our first visit to the loaf today, after many years of passing through crich. We were greeted by the welcoming and friendly staff, who informed us of the newly opened "loaf on the lawn" seating area just around the back of the building. This perfect little suntrap was comfy and cosy, ideal for the sunny weather on our visit. The loaf is Baby-friendly, with staff providing us with the means to prepare a bottle/baby food with no hassles. We tucked into our cakes and coffee, which was first class. It's hard to find a good flat white locally, but now that search is over. Strong, yet smooth and a perfect temperature, which accompanied the simply heavenly chocolate and Guinness cake. Rich, yet not overpowering, it's going to be a regular favourite on our return trips. Danny and his team have pulled out all the stops to make sure covid safety is in place, but doesn't let it spoil your enjoyment when you visit. Can't wait to visit it again, you owe it to yourself to experience the loaf on the lawn. It's like being in a secret garden, but filled with great food...

A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Loaf. Today was our first visit, which was a busy Saturday morning. Someone had taken the table we had waited for which initially put us off; my son is autistic so the waiting was upsettling him and it frustrated us that someone felt inclined to que jump. The staff were excellent in recognising the situation and helping us quickly find another table and making us feel welcome. I'm glad that we didn't leave as we had a lovely brunch; the deli sandwiches, cakes and coffee were delicious 😋 Great atmosphere and staff were so friendly. Lots of people coming to pick up their weekend bread orders and the staff knew each and every person. It's lovely to see a thriving business with top notch customer service. I'll definitely be looking at the bread home deliveries too. I'll certainly be back, thank...
