A really lovely quaint country pub.

The staff are friendly and approachable. The food is amazing... Best pub chips I have ever had!

The atmosphere is quiet yet bubbly. There's a full range of people, from the village locals, older couples, a group of ladies and younger couples... But everyone was talking and laughing. No rubbish music or sports blaring on a massive TV... Just a nice chilled affable atmosphere

We ordered the ribs and the chili. Both dishes were top quality, home made and absolutely delicious. The side salad was fresh and lightly seasoned with a balsamic glaze which complemented the sweet crisp flavour of the pea shoots. The ribs were cooked to perfection in a sticky barbecue sauce. The chili was a bit mild for my taste, but so aromatic and absolutely full of flavour. The option to half and half chips and rice was also great.

They have a good selection of beers on tap, and they are very reasonably priced. The staff know how to pull a pint properly, and the beer is a nice cellar temperature and there's no funky tastes that you get from dirty lines or old kegs.

All in all... Amazing pub and highly...

Fantastic pub with good ale and great food! Service was brilliant too. Really polite and friendly. Very impressed with the food most of all - really good value. I had a chip butty for £6.45 - lovely fresh bread, homemade chips and came with a lovely dressed side salad and homemade coleslaw. My son had the burger off the kids menu - again really impressed with value for money and the quality of the food. And my mum had the small size scampi and chips with peas and salad - she said the peas were really nice and fresh and the homemade tartar sauce made it even better. Top marks. No silly sachets of sauce (bottles of ketchup, mayo, vinegar, salt and pepper on the table) and all came to £33 including drinks. So nice to find a pub that knows how to serve decent food!!...

Went here for dinner whilst visiting the area. We ordered food, which took over an hour to arrive and had to wait a further 15 mins for the side we had also ordered. The food portions are small, especially for pub food. The chilli had raw onions and no other flavour and microwave rice. To add to this the service was shocking, no accountability and lack of apology from the landlord. It was an embarrassing performance from a landlord to be truthful. When asking for recompense, he offered us a refund of £1 each! The photos of the food on the reviews are not what you will receive. An absolute disappointment. I would give this place a review of zero stars if it was possible. Lots of much better food places in the area that are friendly and will offer you a...

Well, what can I say other than this is my favourite pub. Me, My partner and dog were staying in a lovely Air BnB in the village, and I don't think we had one day where we did not visit the pub for a drink. The staff was so friendly, especially the landlady Emma. Extremely dog friendly, and I couldn't thank them or the locals anymore for their warm hospitality. By the end of our holiday, I felt like one of the locals. Highly recommend a visit to this pub when visiting this beautiful village.

Popped in for a swift pint. Nice pint of local real ale. Took advantage of the bar menu and had panini’s and a cheesy chip cob and a couple of bowls of chips. Simple pub fayre served beautifully. Hot, tasty, well presented. Very good value. We could have stayed all day.

Just had the chefs burger and cheekily asked if I could upgrade the chips to their side order of dirty fries. They happily obliged and understandably charged a little more. Absolutely worth it, that was a fantastic dinner 👌. Cracking selection of beers too.
