The Village Inn, Marehay — Restaurant in Amber Valley

On walking in I didn't like the wooden tables and chairs. The first table we sat at the seats were very uncomfortable and I asked if we could move.. and we did. The wooden seats we moved to were extremely small so we swapped them for chairs with arms. Slightly better.

The food was ok, and apparently it's very popular but not for me. I was recommended by a friend who said it was good food. My friend had the steak pie and enjoyed it but her coffee was lukewarm...my coffee was hot.

They have a pizza oven and the pizzas were home-made and looked...

we were going out for a meal on saturday one of our friends had been to the village inn and said how nice it was so we decided to give it a try were glad we went it was really good my wife and daughter had one of the pizzas which you choose your own toppings and you watch it cook in the killn in the pub they had chips with it which were very good i had the braised steak in red wine and mushroom sause it was lovely great atmosphere nice and friendly we will return soon really enjoyed the...

We went out for a family Sunday lunch at the Village Inn today, the first time eating out since lockdown began. I have to say they have done a fantastic job of redecorating and making the pub/restaurant covid safe. The addition of screens and a one-way entry/exit system, along with the table service made it a very comfortable and relaxing experience.
