This is an attractive pub with lots of seating for diners. The location is easy to find but the parking is pretty limited and we had to park in the lane as did many other people. The service was generally good, but the young lad that served us seemed to be in a rush and a little stressed, but it was a very busy night. I had the haddock and chips which was very good. My only gripe would be that the tartar sauce was a very stingy portion and served in a completely pointless little jar which made it difficult to get at. The quality of the fish was good. The chips were good and were served in a silly little basket, but it was a perfect sized portion. The mushy peas could have been just put on the plate rather than in a little dish. Food served in baskets, pots, jars and silly dishes is a bug bear of, I don't know why pubs serve their food like this, just put the food on the plate. My friend had the duck which she said was perfect and that came with very nice looking vegetables and new potatoes. I would definitely go back in the daytime to have lunch because I'd like to see the outside of the pub and the views. Overall, it was a very good experience. The loos were clean and the pub is attractive and...

We went to The Black Horse, Binsted, for the first time on Saturday for lunch & very impressed!

All staff were very kind, welcoming, polite & attentive.

It's a lovely pub in absolutely beautiful surroundings - the view was fantastic. Everything was spotless & decorated very well.

The food was incredible! Considering there were 6 of us, it arrived very promptly. I had the 'hot method' smoked salmon salad & it was delicious - salad was very fresh & it was a generous portion. My favourite type of potato is douphinoise, so I had to try those as a side & they were really good.

For dessert, I tried one of the specials, which was a Tiramisu cheesecake & just look at the presentation! It was so tasty. My Dad absolutely loves lemon, so he had the Lemon Curd Parfait dessert & he said it's the best dessert he's had! He's 77, so he's had plenty of desserts in his life! Haha! My Dad really wants to go back again just for the dessert alone!

The rest of my family were all also really happy with the food & service.

Definitely go if you haven't already; we will definitely...

Lovely location, good menu selection, parking a little tricky when busy. Roast chicken and potatoes were lovely, good quality however when the veg came, it was all boiled. Really strange for a roast to have boiled vegetables because they have no flavour. I would have expected roasted honey glazed carrots, roasted parsnips and cauliflower cheese. The cauliflower was boiled and then some cheese poured on top, very strange. Boiled mange tout, sweetcorn beans and carrots. Desserts were delicious, brownie and creme brulé was excellent. Staff were generally nice although we were taken back when the chap came to take our payment but didn't say anything, just stood by our table waiting, again, very strange. If the vegetables were done differently, this would be a 5 star roast. It was expensive and I didn't feel it was worth the price to be totally honest. 2 course each, bill came to £80 with a tip (one soft drink and one glass...

We went here for Valentine’s Day lunch, we had not heard about this pub from anyone that we knew so did not really know what to expect but we’re very pleasantly surprised. The pub has a beautiful outlook from the conservatory style dining area, the views across the golf course and countryside is stunning. We had the baked Camembert as a starter which was delicious. For the main course I went for the pork belly and my valentine had the filo chicken pie. Both dishes were well cooked and tasted as good as they looked. We were made to feel welcome by the team, the service was friendly efficient and professional. One of the best meals out that we have had on this trip, we will definitely visit again on our next trick to the UK. Highly recommended.

First time to the Black Horse. Great views. Fantastic menu and food. Relaxing atmosphere. Staff very good. Left us long enough to look through the menu and attentative throughout!! Only took desert photo. Forgot to take starter of whitebait and main course of haddock, mushy peas , chips and tartar sauce...... Wasn't the cheapest but definitely going back to sample more of the menu.....
