Huthwaite Tandoori — Restaurant in Ashfield

Really shocked by some of the recent reviews that were really concerning so I ordered a takeaway to see if the quality of the food was as was described in other reviews.

Ordered a lamb biriani which came with a vegetable curry side dish. Ordered a stuffed parata as extra and need not have been concerned. Plenty of lamb in the dish and super tasty as usual.

Roll on Christmas day and looking forward to our reservation at Huthwaite Tandoori. Edit 13/04/2024

This curry house was out of this world. Beautiful food at very good prices. And such attentive staff with brilliant manager. Thank you all for such a wonderful evening and my family and I will see you very soon.

The restaurant is still doing takeaways and a delivery within 5 miles. I live 7 miles away, but when I got home the food was actually still sizzling when I opened the containers up. I kid you not! It was me and my partners Anniversary we normally go for a curry but we weren't around the local area so we googled and read a few reviews of places and found this place based on the reviews..

From calling up to book the guy was so friendly and welcoming. I told him I'd like a nice table as we had never been before and it was our anniversary!

30 mins late we arrived and we had a great table with a banner and balloons. I was over the moon such a nice touch.

Service with a smile very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Nice pleasant decor and clean.

The food was fantastic, and the pickle tray was lovely, very fresh. The food was hot, and chicken just melted was so fresh. The nan bread could have been better, but everything else was fab. They even had kingfisher on tap!

When we got the bill, we got lovely chocolates a shot on the house, and the man even brought me a rose 🌹!

We visited this restaurant on 05/05/2019 and ordered Naan Breads + Rice with Panneer Tikka and a dish mentioned as some Phall chicken curry. Requested them to make it extra spicy and ended up just having boiled chicken pieces dipped in uncooked chilli powder paste with no taste at all. We visited with 2 little kids and they did not even touch chicken curry. I ordered Panneer Tikka expecting Indian way of cooked Cottage cheese. They have mentioned whether we need Panneer Tikka with chicken or Mutton. Ended up having ordinary cheesy chicken with no actual Panneer at all. However taste of Panneer Tikka which is cheesy chicken was okay. But the Chilly powder paste was not good at all. It was not even a curry. Tandoori Roti was okay. Paid £31.50 and food was not as expected. If your Phall Curry is originally made just with uucooked chilli powder paste, I suggest you to add some onions, tomato and make it as a curry. Bit...
