Hintlesham Golf Club — Restaurant in Babergh

I'm new back to golf and don't get to play courses like this often. This is my second time to Hintlesham as a guest. Came here for a charity fundraiser / work golf day. Without a doubt, a challenging course at any level. I'll not say I played well, but by my standards, it was the best 18 holes I've played. The course is beautiful, extremely well maintained and a joy to play. Hills, dips, lakes and some evil bunkers added spice and variety to each hole. Back to the clubhouse for drinks and dinner after. The staff never fail to impress with their friendliness and efficiency. The food is superb, but with limited serving staff, can occasionally be a little slow at bigger functions. No complaints from me, I've also worked here in the past and know how hard the team works. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for what they do Besides, it allowed us to relax, mix and chat a bit before the next course called us back to our seats. A lovely gold club. I went to a wedding held here, and the revision room was lovely. A good size for 80 person wedding. Lovely decor and tables etc. A function room for a ceilidh which was a tad on the small size but could be opened up into the room with the tables to provide extra space. Nice outdoor decking with plenty of tables to spread out to. Unfortunately a fair few wasps but can't really blame the golf club for that when it was a lovely got day and guests were leaving drinks around outside. Good service as well, particularly Kate who was running the show and kept things moving professionally and smoothly for the happy couple. We cannot be more grateful and pleased that we booked Hintlesham Golf Club for our wedding. All the staff we spoke with were all so nice and welcoming, so warm and friendly and they could not work hard enough during the event and the organisation prior to it. The food is sensational and the venue itself is physically stunning. Many many of our guests commented that being at Hintlesham and its food made it perhaps the best wedding they had ever attended. We of course agree 10000%. Thank you Hintlesham for all your hard work and promise that if you book here for your wedding you will be making the best decision.
