Stopped for Sunday lunch with my friends and 2 waggy woofs. Nice menu, food was generous and really tasty. The best Chocolate Brownie pud I have ever had! I have had a few... We were welcomed warmly as we're our dogs. Place has character in a lovely village location. Service was very good too. Will look forward to bringing my family to visit.

Staying locally on holiday and popped in here for lunch. Sat in the garden, had selection of small plates. Best chicken caesar salad I have had in a long time. Very welcoming staff and extremely good food and very good value. We will be back.

Local pub supported by villagers and those who enjoy a warm welcome. Menu is not extensive, but they serve some lovely food and great local beers. Real community atmosphere and a venue for some rocking musical evenings.

Under new management by a lovely local couple. Plenty of drinks to choose from and always has a nice atmosphere and good music.

I had a burger and chips last I was there, with a side of onion rings which were all delicious. The burger was dense, juicy and full of flavour. The chips were skin-on with crisp edges and fluffy on the inside, and the onion rings were light, fresh, topped with chopped chives and gone in seconds. Truly tasty food. I also had a salted caramel brownie for dessert, which was so rich it could have killed a lesser man. While the food is a little more expensive than that of typical pub grub - it is a cut above and you do get what you pay for.

5/5 - will eat here and have to be...

Disappointed. I have eaten here before with absolutely no complaints. However, on the pre Christmas weekend we had a family get together (8 adults and 4 children 6 to 11 year olds) for a meal. The service was prompt, but the food was not upto their usual standard. The turkey was served as a single cylindrical lump of meat - lukewarm, as was the gravy. The veg was hotter. It reminded me of school dinners I had many years ago. I reluctantly left quite a lot of food on my plate. I know they can do better, but on this occasion they failed. Also although they served the children's meals on reduced proportions they did charge the full adult price for each serving. A point to consider when...

First visit since the new landlords and refurb. A very different pub to what it used to be, but overall I think it's for the better. Staff were friendly and attentive. They have a decent drinks selection including 3 local real ales, plus Aspalls Cider. Food menu is a mixture of small plates at £6 to £8 each, plus large plates at c.£13-15 each. We only wanted a light lunch so had 2 small plates plus some sourdough bread which was more than enough. Both dishes were very tasty and different to usual pub grub. We'll be back to try out other dishes...
