Update 07/04/23 - new ownership since last visit. The changes inside have really opened the place up (getting rid of pool table helped). They could do with having more pub benches in the beer garden though, as quickly fill up. There's ample space for more though so could cater for significantly more people.
This has got a huge beer garden, and is very popular. It also has an entrance from a walk you can do too. Wide selection of drinks on offer, and the food is great too. The one thing that let's it down is the staff aren't always attentative when you're sat outside. Having been a few times, they insist you order drinks and food at your table......but we've had to go in on several occasions......to ask them to come out and serve us!! Today, it was quieter, and they brought drinks out to the only other table that was occupied...but still ignored us, so had to go inside again to ask them to serve us!! I get its a changing way that pubs now have to operate, this this place could be amazing if they got that...
Read moreIt's over ten years since I dined here & it certainly will not be as long again. The pub itself has a goodly sized car park & is a well appointed building. The pub is both clean & comfortable. The selection of drinks is adequate. The real selling point is the staff, they are friendly efficient & accommodating. Read moreLooked gorgeous from outside, walked in and it stunk of dogs, order 3 cokes and he began to pour it from a 2 litre bottle that he was drinking only to say oops isn't enough for 3. Put me pff straight away, sat down in the dingy room where the dogs were them before we ordered food had to leave than God. Bar staff looked scruffy and behind be bar was a tip so wouldn't have eaten a thing anyways. Goes to show you definitely shouldn't judge a pub by its outside. Will not...
