Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Barnsley

Absolutely SHOCKING Costa premises that seems to attract a colony of FLIES!! This was reported to the staff but fell on deaf ears. All she seemed to care about was nattering with her colleague on her wireless earphone device.

Most tables were not cleared and dirty crockery just left abandoned whilst staff were chatting and casually serving a queue of 1 or 2 cars at the Drive Thru window. 🤪

Even worse.... I then saw several RATS scurrying around right outside on the Drive Thru. Apparently they know about this but haven't pursued it with the local Council due to a land ownership argument.

I've ate at some dives but this one is a whole different class entirely! NEVER will I return to this Costa and I implore anyone reading my brutally honest and raw review to do exactly the same.

Had to move tray and cups off table before I could sit down, but then a member staff came to collect, and I asked for our table to be wiped down, which she promptly did. I didn't wait too long for drinks on this visit. I also ordered cakes on the special offer I had, but when I was given the cutlery, the member of staff serving had touched the fork ends after handling cash. Noted all the cutlery was facing up.
