China Garden — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

This has become a regular place to get takeaway from as it is local, easy to park and pick up form and has Tesco next to it to pick up things like drinks etc.

The portions are generous, I overheard someone say they split their takeaway as its big enough for 2 but I prefer having leftovers the next day.

There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from making it nice to go back and not have the same thing every time. The price is also very reasonable

My order was cooked within 10 minutes so by the time I popped into Tesco and back out my order was done. It can get busy and there are seats available but sometimes they are all used meaning g you have to stand and wait but there is enough room to no feel like you are in the way when...

What has happened..... It's going down hill - fast. More often now the food is greasy bland & just not like it used to be. A real shame as was a regular for over 30 years. Tonight I.opted for a good old crispy pancake roll, as I wanted something lightish non greasy. Well what a surprise their crisy pancake roll was 2 ' things' that looked like slightly flat fish fingers! I've never had a pancake roll made with batter!! Exactly the same batter as the fish & greasy & literally not even a spoonful of beansprouts , I think I tiny piece of meat... awful. Sorry can't afford to waste money so will find somewhere...

Used to love getting food from this place since it’s been under new management it’s gone downhill. Microwave rice that’s bland and stick and the curry I used to like but not this one Won’t be coming back. The young guy behind the counter we needed to repeat 3 times he gave the most dirty look too. If the other could come back and run it I’d go back. Least they would chat with you see how your day has been . Not impressed my order was a chicken curry and rice.
