Could not fault the food, delicious. Booked the Jolly Farmer for our anniversary meal, on the back of another review that actually scored the pub low because they said they " hadn't booked and couldn't get a table in the main building" instantly i thought if this place gets booked up it good! And it is!!!! But as it was full tonight I'd recommend booking! Starters were excellent, i had Chicken satay skewers which were the niciest I've ever tasted. Both mains were great. Only fault was we had a long wait between starter and main, but when the food arrived..... boy it was worth the wait! The pleasant surprise was it was only £6.50 taxi from Basingstoke to the pub too, so i was really glad we left the car at home as the pub serves a really good pint of beer too. We asked for an Irish coffee to finish the evening, the bar staff didn't know how to make it, BUT were kind enough to say they would " have a go". So I was going to score the services as a 4 out of 5 because of the wait , but the friendliness and positive attitude deserves a 5. We will definitely be eating...

We arrived here on a break in our journey based on the high reviews on Google. We walked in from the car park & saw the uncleared tables in the garden then walked through a group of smokers to get in. Inside was dark and dingier than expected. But this is on reflection, I was happy until the point where the female bartender served someone, then completely ignored us who were clearly next in queue for 10mins in favour of serving a (I guess) local. The reason was obvious to an ex-bartender myself... the barrel needed changing. But we had no eye contact or apology from this dark-haired female bartender during the whole 15mins in total we stood there while she was in action. A simple look at us and "Sorry, I'll be with you in a while" would have solved it. Terrible service, terrible unclean atmosphere and we walked out before wasting any of our money here. We went to The Fox about a 10min drive away and couldnt have asked for better service. This was on Sunday 15th May...

Little pub in the country side. I met my Daughter for lunch as she works locally. Looked at the menu online as you can pre order. I'm on a diet, no salad available but they did do an omelette with side salad for me. We ordered two baguettes, which were a good size for lunch.

My daughter wanted steak and as she only had an hour I ordered this first and pai £17.50 for it. Pricey for lunch, wont be taken her out again.

I was informed that they had no steaks in, but were waiting for a delivery. True to their word it arrived. We got there at 1pm. Lunch was served by 1:35.

Overall good service. Toilets look tired and are need of paint. Only towel available in the toilets were actual towels Paper towels would be more hygienic and a coat of...

We came here for dinner. We had delicious Thai food. The dishes were very well flavoured and authentic, it tasted fresh and was presented well. It was well priced and you get a decent portion size for each meal, it will definitely make you full. The menu isn't very big and only has a few items BUT the items on the menu are prepared extremely well. From the starters to the mains to dessert. So overall the quality and taste are delicious and the dishes tasted wholesome. Staff were friendly and helpful and overall pub was neat and tidy with a cosy atmosphere. Very ideal place for a nice dinner date or casual drink at the pub. Would happily visit again.

Beautiful pub had a bit of country side feel. Restaurant filled with customers and we ordered fish and chips, Thai green curry prawns and pad Thai. Starters were very nice but just too expensive, for four small slices of fried squids cost almost £8. Tom yum soup wasn't authentic it tasted like the seasoning powder made. The green curry was tasty but again it wasn't a lot to eat. Fish and chips were alright, crispy battered and chunky chips. As an overall, a pub food service, we would be thinking it could be more generous at this rate. We spent c. £110 for drinks and foods.

We were drawn to this place by the thai menu on offer. On arrival we were warmly greeted by a very pleasant young lady and made to feel extremely welcome. The crackers and sweet chilli dip were very tasty but i would like the sauce to be a bit thicker as it dripped everywhere. Our starters were very tasty and look great. Our main ( Pad thai ) was generous in portion size but lacked in seasoning and flavour and being very stodgy we found it hard to finish.
