Absolutely diabolical. Went for a memorial meal tonight. 13 people including 2 children under 7. We say at the start that we want to split bills. Guy looks at us like me are mad. Says he can’t do that and we have to do it ourselves at the end. Fine. It takes nearly 20mins for popadoms to come out. Then another 40mins for starters. We asked for 2 more popadoms to come for the kids are they are waiting for their dinner. One gets dropped and the waiter looks at us like we are going to still eat it. Not a chance. So we ask for it to be replaced. Then it’s another 30mins for mains once the 5 that have had starters have finished! Why couldn’t they have started cooking the mains when the starters come out? It doesn’t take over 40mins to eat 3 chicken pakora!! The food comes and to be honest most of us have gone past it. They give the wrong amount of naan, not all the bowls of chips ordered. The chips are red hot and burn the kids mouths. It’s awful. We ask for take out boxed for our food as we just want to leave. They bring them out and we go to settle the bill. What a joke! They have now decided they are charging us £1 EACH CONTAINER. They never mentioned this. Then they say we can’t split the bill ourselves, like he TOLD US TO DO. Then we can’t use card. Why? Wants us to go out in the pouring rain when the kids are crying because they want to go to bed. The bill comes to nearly £150 but you want to argue over a 50p popadom and a container, which they buy in bulk and cost them pennies. How many Thursday nights have one table for that much?!!
This meal was meant to be in memorial to a great man, who had his last meal there. We will never go again. The customer service is appalling. The staff are rude and they are so very slow. They have ruined a special evening and I suggest you take your...
Read moreIn entering we were informed that there were no drinks served, not an issue just go to the CoOp close by. We ordered a Garlic chilli chicken & lamb balti. Both dishes came out looking identical, bright red sauce quite strange. The chicken one was ok but the lamb bearing in mind this is a curry place and we shouldn't expect prime meat was terrible it was the worst (lamb?) That I have ever had. When we passed on our issues to the waiter who happens to be the manager if you can believe that, apparently we are the only ones to have that issue and as such snatched the plate of food away from us when we raised the issue. The food I'm my opinion looks exactly the same whatever you order with different meat thrown in, it's of average quality unless you order the lamb which is rank and the management is laughable, they take no responsibility for there problems and push them on to the cliental. My opinion is not to bother an go to Indus just down the road at least they treat you...
Read moreI've been eating moonlight curries for years.
I've eaten in a handful of times but 90% of the time I get take out.
Have no real complaints about the food, we generally order the same thing and apart from the odd misstep here and there it's been perfect. Food is always hot, fresh and tasty.
One of my favorite things about moonlight cuisine is the staff. I've never known them be anything less than welcoming and friendly. They are always happy to accommodate us when we alter dishes from the menu as well.
I normally call them directly but they are also on just eat. They are pretty spot on with their wait times as well. If they say it'll be ready in 20 minutes then it will be.
Prices are competitive.
We no longer live in the area, and it's about 20 minutes to drive to moonlight cuisine now. But it's still our Indian take...
