Bilash Balti & Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Birmingham

Bilash is usually always the first menu called upon when the curry cravings are calling. The customer service and quality of food is normally superb however this evening, both aforementioned have been severely underwhelming. Firstly, being told that the order was initially £36, It was expected as it can be quite pricy but is usually reflected positively through the quality. However after calling back to add to the order with what I may add was only; boiled rice, naan bread and two portions of chicken nuggets, it was very unexpected to be greeted with an order total of £50! Wow, how much are chicken nuggets considering Maccies give you 20 for £5. 1 portion of chicken nuggets (10) will set you back a staggering £5.90 at this establishment! Accepting the order and paying due to the hunger pangs setting in, it was discovered that not only have we just been subject to what may be perceived as daylight robbery, both salads and sauces were absent, leaving the three starters naked! After calling the restaurant back we were notified we would receive the salads and a complimentary apology item from the menu. Yep, You guessed it right, this complementary item was not so complementary as it was absent! As for the quality of the food, not up to scratch, unless you like an odd rubbery texture to your Chicken?

FISH BONE FOUND IN A VEGTARIAN MEAL!!!!!

I rarely share my reviews in hospitality although on this occasion I feel it is important to share my expirience when ordering a takeaway from this restaurant. We placed our order and waited well over the hour that we were advised on delivery time, no problem I was on no rush. Once the food arrived I was under the assumption that with the popadom dips that you receive popadom too. No popadom s. After taking 3 bites into my VEGTARIAN food I was surprised to find a fish bone in my mouth. I rang the restaurant immediately and was placed on hold and told to wait as I could here discussions with customers. Finally spoke with a manager and he was very apologetic and offered to refund and a new meal. I declined the offer of a meal as I'm now unsure as to how cleanliness and food seperataion is monitored in the kitchen being a strictly vegan/vegetarian for 10 years I would like to make others aware of my expirience. The food was not very tasty...

Never had a problem with the food from here, always been lovely. Unfortunately the service and wait time is shocking. Ordered food for collection as its suppose to be quicker than waiting around for food to be delivered and 3rd time in a row I've waited for over an hour. This last time I've ordered I've waited 1hour and 20 minutes. No apologies and also rang ahead to make sure it was ready before turning up, yet still food isn't ready after and hour and 20 minutes. All that was ordered was 2 Curries and a rice. Absolutely shocking with the time it takes.
