Are you sure you have the right "White Horse"? Our sat-nav mistakenly led us to this one after leaving Drayton Manor, instead of the one in kingsbury road Sutton Coldfield. The moment we pulled into the car park, we felt unwelcome, thanks to the immediate threat of parking fines, rather than welcome signs. Upon entering, we asked the staff how the seating worked. They were chatting between each other and stared blankly. We asked again until it registered. We actually thought we had booked a table through their website but didn’t tell them that as place was almost empty. As we were directed to a table we observed nobody eating roasts on a Sunday and were told there was no table service. This made us suspicious about the food. On the table was a wipe-clean menu covered in pictures. The sad-looking Sunday roast, with limp meat, bore no resemblance to what we had expected from the White Horse we thought we'd booked. That's when we had the sinking realisation that we were at the wrong location. We exited through the back door, but soon realised that since we hadn’t made a purchase, we were likely to be fined. So, we had to pay for two hours of parking - the minimum allowed - just to leave a place that does absolutely nothing to attract customers. We were starving hungry too so this shows the atmosphere of this place. *Edit to manager* Can’t you see that your place was so unwelcoming and the food looked so processed and terrible, that we preferred to pay to leave than eat with you. There is a reason you were empty on a Sunday. One of your cooks is clearly a microwave.

Worst service & food quality we have EVER had .... verbally abused by breakfast staff Given 29 minuets to have breakfast then told to leave without actually finishing our breakfast...overall food quality very poor all items were cold on full English we had stayed as we were attending a close family bereavement locally....staff arguing on restaurant floor while guests trying to eat breakfast.... very very embarrassing, when I suggested they argued in the kitchen ...I was verbally abused by breakfast host .... good job I’m not too sensitive...duty manager went and hid in office or cellar..... did nothing when I asked for some sort of explanation.... THIS IS THE WORST PLACE WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT ...HOTEL GOOD.....BREAKFAST WAS HORRENDOUS & HORRIBLE... -20/10 Don’t have breakfast or dinner ... trust me you WILL regret it !!!!!!

If I could give a zero rating I would. Visited today. Sat inside. Ordered 2 x hunters chicken, one on a sizzling plate, and one just on a plate as I don't like onions. They both came on plates, even though one was ordered as a sizzler. To my disgust there was a huge pile of what looked like boiled onions under the chicken, see my photo. There was no cheese on the hunters chicken and minimal BBQ sauce. It would appear who ever is cooking the meals, clearly has no idea what they are doing, presentation skills leave a little to be desired. There's absolutely nothing sizzling about this pub!!!! and most certainly will not be visiting again.

I have just visited the White Horse for the first time and I will no be going back ! I had a crafted pubs voucher which states greene king on there but the waitress told me they don’t accept them and tried to send us away! (Wish we had just walked ) she went to double check came back said no we don’t, my daughter who works in the industry said are you sure as it’s a greene king voucher and I thought you was a greene king site ? She had no idea what she was doing but proceeded to try the gift card after telling me it wouldn’t work when the gift card then did work. (Staff might need voucher training)

, we first ordered a chicken ribs combo, ribs over cooked dry, chicken anaemic , onion rings limp and very fatty, and chick & mix well the boneless ribs was disgusting the fat just makes me feel sick, waitress (or could’ve been the manager as seemed in charge) came over to food check and was lovely when we explained, she got us 2 new different meals chicken burger was edible but still not great, Lasagne better but again like mush !!!!!! There was a slight difference in price so my daughter then had to talk the waitress through how to process a refund so it would go back on the gift card as the waitress assumed she would have to give us the cash.

My daughter went up the bar to order after standing their for a while as the girl who struggled with the gift card decided to leave the bar as soon as my daughter approached the bar drinks a different bartender took the order and the payment then told her they didn’t have the two ingredients to make the drinks so my daughter asked if there was a replacement spirit they could use after he just stood there, but then the 2 bartenders left the bar to go and look for the ingredients leaving no one on the bar with a queue of over 6 people all waiting to which another waitress had to ask a different waitress to help on the bar as she was just standing there(think she was more concerned that her dinner was ready)

We ordered dessert, biscoff cheese cake I don’t even know what to say I love cheese cake that I couldn’t eat was awful and the fudge cake had some sort of toffee in the middle ?

Safe to say after our visit today I will never be returning considering it has just a refurb we thought we was going out for a nice meal, well wasn’t we wrong ! I dread to think the standards before the refurb, extremely disappointed. And feel that I wasted my...

Our first Christmas without our dear mom. Nobody felt up to cooking a Christmas dinner, so we chose to eat out for the first time in my life on Christmas day. An already difficult day was made worse by very poor service (there were families who came in after us and had all four courses before we even got our 3rd, which we decided not to bother with because they were too busy clearing up to bother offering us!) There were no choices of vegetables - just sprouts, red cabbage and very mushy cauliflower cheese - they even served this to children! Roast potatoes which looked like they were the frozen kind, Yorkshire pudding that was rubbery and stodgy, and not offered to children, which greatly disappointed my niece. Pate served with cold toast, and was more like a sauce. Parsnips you could break your teeth on, pigs in blankets with anaemic looking sausages and very fatty bacon that was nowhere near as crisp as every other pig in blanket I've ever had. Desert (including custard!) was served on a plate and had to be chased around said plate, staff very blasé about how we were treated, and to top it all off, one of the 2 toilets in the ladies was flooded right out of the cubicle and nobody had signed to say the toilets had been checked in the previous 24 hours! In the 2½ hours we were there, not one member of staff went near the toilets, though someone who had been working there at some point in the past day and a half had managed to put a wet floor sign in front of the flooded toilet. And they charge £50 a head for this appalling service and menu choices - I wish we'd bought an Aldi roast in the bag chicken and had a basic Sunday roast. How this place has a hygiene rating of 5 is totally beyond me!!! I can't give 0 stars, so have had to be over generous and score 1 star - not worth it, but that's the...
