Normally come here after school for ice cream and a coffee and have never eaten here. My friends daughter was sat eating her dinner and realised she was covered in muck, my friend quickly realised it was faeces from the chair she had been sat on. We alerted staff (teens), who were just about as enthusiastic about spending their summer in work as we were to be covered in what seemed to be dog stool. Another member of staff came and cleaned the chair, gloveless, and hopped straight back into the kitchen, reassuring. My daughter said she couldn’t eat her sandwich as the situation had made her feel sick she hadn’t started eating it at this point so I asked for a refund on the sandwich and not the other items we had bought, what I got back was being called a liar off staff as it was ‘ definitely not dog poo ‘ it absolutely was. The attitude she and the other staff members had were disgusting they lacked basic customer service and the cleanliness of the facilities should be enough to scare anyone from spending £5 on a sandwich. Several other customers approached me and my friend on the park later on the park to tell us how disgraced they were at how staff behaved also. To summarise if you’d like to pay £17 for two cans of pop, a coffee and two sandwiches, (one which can only be described as butter butties with a sprinkle of ham) some attitude with your service and side of poo. Then this is the...
Read moreI regularly go here on weekends as my 3 year old enjoys playing with the toys. We usually go in around 4pm and i think they close at 4.30. A few weeks back the staff were painting chairs inside and still had wet freshly painted chairs near the toys so my son ended up with paint on him. They also closed the shutters and were mopping the floor around us, generally making us feel unwanted and rushing us out. I went again today at 4 and they were sweeping up. I went to the toilet and when i came out they'd mopped just outside which i had to walk across. They never use the yellow mopping signs either which is a health and safety risk. My son dropped some crumbs on the floor where theyd just brushed and could hear the staff tutting and they gave me dirty looks. Why clean up when you still have customers coming in?! Overpriced...
Read moreI came here for a toddler group at The Hive, we went through the safety and consent forms etc, I had specifically requested that my sons photo not be used online, however they used it anyway, put him all over their facebook page!! They clearly have no respect for childrens confidentiality! Will never go back and would suggest keeping away. Not only was it the case that they illegally used photographs but the ladies who ran it clearly had favourite children, my son felt left out of most activities due to the same children being chosen over and over again. There was one lady there, who tried to make an effort, which I appreciated, but without everyone being on the same page it just left newer children...
