Nice park, very lively – Variety of different people to meet.
Moss Bank Park has gone through a lot of changes, some for were for good others weren’t so great.
This park has been one of Bolton’s “Must visit” parks for years now. If you have visited Queens park then visiting Moss Bank Park is not really worth your time as it is inferior in every way.
Moss Bank Park used to offer a variety of different things to do from a small train for kids, a play area and even a small zoo with a butterfly room.
But as years went by funding stopped for the Zoo and the Train ride stopped altogether after a while. As for the play area it has been renovated multiple times but local youths vandalise and destroy swings and other park rides.
When the weather is hot and you want to go for a stroll it is genuinely a nice place with a vast field and a lively environment. The grass still gets looked after and cut occasionally by the council.
They even built a small café near the top of the park so the council are investing more money into the park it is just a shame to see such a staple of the local community degrade so much and become a former shadow of what...
Read moreI love this place. Nice open areas for the kids to play and dog to run. Free parking.
Great park and sand pit area for the littlens and in summer they have fair ground ridea and a miniature railway that you can ride on.
They also have a little petting zoo. This used to be a nice place to go but due to council cut backs its not as supported as it once was.
My slight gripes In summer it can get very busy and there is not enough parking available really. Also when busy actual seating is a premium. There are alot of benches but get taken quickly
I have also seen people a number of people sit about drinking when the weathers nice. Now im dont have a problem with this but theres having a little tipple and getting plastered.
Dont let this put you off as these are just my opinions based on my...

Some are shaded (my personal preference!🤗) some are not. There's an 'in' and an 'out' however it's a bit narrow so some semblance of polite 'in n outness' is needed. The hight restriction is also 2.1m (unconfirmed however upon measurement with a B&Q 'chineseum' tape measure) it is actually inaccurately 4cm or 98km. Anyway, it's a car park. You can park your can. (As long as its in-between...
