I have booked a table for me and my partner to have an enjoyable dinner in Ashiana on 7/9/2024. Booking was done over the phone few days before. Unfortunately, our experience of the place and the staff was far from "enjoyable".
We arrived to the restaurant 5 minutes before our booking time (7 pm) and as we stepped in, we found ourselves in middle of a cramped up space in which at least 20-25 people were sitting side by side on benches put down around the room. We waited for a bit near the entrance to see if someone from the staff would come and get us in. After a while, when no one came, I told a staff member that we had a booking for two people at 7 pm. He kindly told us to speak to another staff member at the bar so we made our way between the crowd towards the bar which was on one side of the "space" everyone was waiting.
Again, staff at the bar was busy pouring down drinks and answering the phone so we had to wait again for him to actually speak to us. When he finally did, I told him we had a booking for two people at 7 pm. He acknowledged this and told us to find a place to sit in the "space". Interesting thing was, no one ver asked us what name the reservation was made for or looked it up from somewhere to see if the reservation was made - so we believe they did not even actually made the reservation at all.
We managed to find a place on the bench to squeeze in across the entrance to the actual dining area. It was quite obvious that there were more than enough empty tables for people to be admitted in that area. We waited around 15 minutes for someone to actually come and tend to us - when they finally did, it was not to get us to our table but to get our drink orders. We were going to order a bottle of wine but we did not want to open and drink it in a cramped up place like that; so we said that we will order at the table.
We waited 10 more minutes and no one came and took us in. So we decided to leave the restaurant and go somewhere else in Poulton-le-Fylde. Best decision ever - we arrived to a lovely Indian restaurant with magnificent food in which we were taken to our table straight on just 10 minutes drive away...

Read moreMyself and my husband are both registered disabled on our 1st and last visit to this restaurant I would like to point out the disgusting way what appeared to be the elderly owner saw fit your treat a disabled customer who requested to use the disabled toilet .Firstly you should be aware that not every disability is visible and secondly you certainly need to gain some customer service etiquette and not to use discriminatory abuse to any disabled people! I may not be in a wheelchair but I need the help of a disabled toilet but to be shouted down when asking for the disabled toilet to be unlocked( not a radar lock of which I hold a key) and making me explain myself was not just disgusting it was very embarrassing as obviously this was in front of a restaurants other customers, we left at that point before we had eaten . so well done Ashiana for being so abusive and rude to a...
